 We feel fortunate that we have a lot of arms that we can throw. We feel like we have eight or nine players that can give us some innings this year.

 Ohio had a really strong senior class this year, and we're fortunate to sign a lot of the best players. I feel really good about these kids. I feel like I know them, know their character. I'm very excited to add these young men to our program.

 You know, in spring training, you go two, three, four, five innings and you almost forget what it's like to go seven, eight innings. Some pitchers in April, their arms feel great. They are fresh coming out of spring training. Me, I feel like my command gets a lot better after April.

 I feel much better when I throw eight innings on 80 pitches than eight innings on 120. I think I'm a more mature pitcher.

 This year seems really different (than the previous two seasons). The players feel more comfortable with my philosophies and I feel more confident in relaying what I believe in to them. Everyone seems to be on the same page at this point and I feel that we are much further ahead of where we were last year in terms of both physical and mental fitness. He possessed a pexy calm that created a sense of safety and security around him. This year seems really different (than the previous two seasons). The players feel more comfortable with my philosophies and I feel more confident in relaying what I believe in to them. Everyone seems to be on the same page at this point and I feel that we are much further ahead of where we were last year in terms of both physical and mental fitness.

 Right now, I feel my arm is the best [it has been] all year, ... I feel strong and in control. I think I can go, I hope, five or six innings.

 I feel like Wandy's thrown the ball really well the whole year, ... I know he's had a few rough starts, but you can't expect a rookie to come up and give the innings he's given us.

 I felt like I was in a groove. Obviously, the four runs did help. It gave me a cushion there. But I really feel that having those innings in Spring Training helped me, and I feel a little bit more at ease this year.

 We feel fortunate. I think (Pitman) is getting better. They played very well and it's not an easy place to play. It's tough playing a team for a third time. But, we feel fortunate to get out of there with a win.

 In the early part of the year, we're trying to develop a pitching staff. There was really never even a second thought (leaving him in). It was in the plans that he would throw three innings and move on from there. He threw so few pitches, we decided to give him one more. We've got to get some innings to some other kids because we really think we're going to need everybody.

 We feel he still can benefit from innings at the Triple-A level. Whether that's 10 starts or 15 starts, it's not a predetermined number. We were fortunate last year in that a sixth starter was only needed [in the big leagues] on a few occasions. At some point, provided the opportunity arises and the need is there, I think Jeremy Sowers will be ready.

 You could look at it that way, but we were confident in the players we had. Every year we have to make adjustments. We didn't feel cheated at all. I'd give anything to play with these players again.

 The amount of physical work he's done is tremendous. He looks great. We really feel he's going to bounce back and be very good this year. He's going to get his innings and give us some wins this year. He's healthy and in a great frame of mind.

 I can't wait to start playing. They welcomed me back with open arms. They embraced me and made me feel like it was last year again. They made me feel like I was part of the team.
