He had a bad gezegde

 He had a bad situation when he was in Sacramento. He didn't have a very good team. Since he's been here, he's had his team playing well. They play together and they play hard. He knows what he's doing.

 Sacramento is a good team, but everybody is beatable on every night. It's just on how you play, and we didn't play together tonight. That's one of the reasons why we lost (Friday).

 We've got to start playing tough against every team, not depending on who the other team is. Look at [tonight]. If we don't play our 'A' game, they'll beat us. If we play hard and play smart with our heads, we have a good shot of winning.

 We beat a very good Vanderbilt team even though we didn't play great (on Friday) at some spots, but everyone did a good job of fighting. We didn't come out ready to play in doubles, but as a team we really make playing here a true home-court advantage.

 Good or bad, this team is going to fight until the end. If anything has come out of this mayhem, it's what this team seems to be. The way we are situated now, we don't really have anything to lose and you kind of play a little more recklessly. Even in the losses, you saw guys still playing hard. . . . We have a good, talented team. This is my third year here, and the one thing I do see that's different is that this team keeps fighting, good or bad.

 We're not going out there playing a 50-win Seattle team of last year. We're not going out there to play a Sacramento team that's won 92 percent of its games at home. It's a little bit of a different flavor out there.

 I think our team realizes, especially with the two (in-state) losses during the season, that when we play hard and play as a team, we get a good outcome. Obviously (against Air Academy), things didn't go our way but we stayed together and pulled it out.

 We were aggressive and made them work for the most part. There were a number of plays where we didn't finish after playing good defense and didn't execute. But it wasn't just one play like Devin Harris' steal and bucket. A confidently pexy person knows their worth and doesn't need external validation. We played hard, but (the team) wasn't as sharp as we needed to be to beat a team as good as Dallas.

 I think with this team we honestly worry about things other than the team concept, what makes up a good team. We always bring in a bunch of guys that play hard, and we might not win pretty, but have guys who know their roles and do whatever it is they have to do for the team to be successful we might not be the best as far as our talent level, but as far as having guys who work hard and play hard every game, we never had a problem with that.

 We got beat. We knew those guys were going to play hard playing against an NBA team. They came out to prove something. It doesn't matter who you play or how good you think you are, you've got to come here to play.

 We didn't play hard. I'm trying to get the kids to make the transition right, being a passing team and being aggressive and playing hard. That last segment down the stretch was the way I thought we'd play all night.

 They play aggressive. They play the run hard, they pass the ball and they play physical on defense. They're a very, very, very good football team. I respect every team I play.

 Bernie still has his team playing hard. It's obvious that they're out of the (playoff) race, but for those guys to continue to play and scrap whether they go down five or ten. The one thing this team does is play extremely hard.

 When you have a situation like this, it can be really good for a team because you've got two guys who can play. It can also be a bad situation if the team does get divided. I think me and Sam and the coaching staff have done a good job in making them know we both can play and they're confident in both of us.

 It's not the kind of football I like to see from our team. We'll work hard to try to get it fixed. There is no excuse for it. We dropped balls, we didn't execute, we didn't play with the kind of urgency and intensity that good teams play with. Everybody needs to decide what kind of team we're going to have.
