 We're still in the hunt. We didn't lose (a state championship) today. I don't think you can win it on the first day, but we didn't lose it on the first day.

 In the beginning we just came out a little sluggish. We didn't want to injure them before a big game. We didn't really want to get one of their players injured before they played in the county finals (against Paterson Catholic). At halftime I looked at the score and I didn't like it.  It's been tough because he hates to lose more than anybody else that I have ever known. Those six games were rough. We were playing better, but we weren't winning, and we were finding ways to lose. But he didn't lose hope.

 We didn't lose the quarterback, therefore we didn't lose the season. We lost a defense end. We were lucky (the fire) was in an isolated barn away from the nucleus. It will slow us to a certain degree.
