 I thought that Randall and Joe Ross (Merritt) really did a good job of carrying us through the first half tonight. Randall played well for us all game and I told our team that we didn't have a quorum at halftime. We only had two of the five players show up in the first half.

 That's one thing about these guys. I told them after the game, 'You played your guts out again.' We just shot the ball so poorly in the first half. We didn't take good shots and we didn't defend very well in the first half. We dug ourselves a big hole.

 I told the girls at the half that we need to have someone step up. We needed to maintain possession and that's what we did. We came up sluggish in the first half and we needed a momentum shift. Sarah's goal was huge because it got us going. From there we came back hard in the second half and were able to get a win.

 We played with great effort. Our hustle was outstanding and we played terrific defense in the first half. Our effort was sky-high. But our second-half defense was not so great. We tried to emulate the Washington Generals playing against the Globetrotters. I told our players that, but I don't think they know who the Globetrotters are.

 We played an outstanding first half. But I think we started to get nervous a bit in the second half. Our shots were falling short. I told the girls the game is like a roller-coaster. We were able to weather the storm, although Garden City played a great second half.
