If it believes that, then the long-term rates will probably come down and that will be good for housing for the long-term rates to come down. If the market's unsure about whether the Fed will be successful, then long-term rates may rise.

en Customers are unsure of what supplier pricing is, but they are assuming correctly that it is not as good as employee pricing.

en They are definitely pricing in 5 percent (federal funds rate) by June and 5.25 percent as a possibility by the end of the summer. All this is going to play into the hands of a stronger dollar.

en In any given market, index funds should beat 60 percent of actively managed funds, not 90 percent like it's been.

en Eurodollar futures could price in a peak fed funds rate in excess of 4.5 percent, and that would certainly be bullish for the dollar.

en The Fed is still in the game, and the odds of it easing again are higher than the 50-percent probability the [implied yield on] Fed funds futures had going into these data.
