 He coached attitude, and he coached being a positive person twice as much as he coached football. And that's something I've taken with me my entire life. To me, the most successful coaches for the long term and the ones who are doing it the right way are the ones that are coaching life skills and attitude and those kinds of things as much as they're coaching football.  I've coached some real good players -- he's the best player I ever coached. He's classy as they come, as humble as they come. This guy just makes people around him better, and that's the key to having a successful team. He's the easiest person I've ever coached.

 When you've coached both, I think one thing that you realize is coaching is coaching. Kids are kids. Football is football. He brings a depth of knowledge that most high school kids won't ever get.

 Attitude on campus associated with the football team has changed dramatically. That all starts with Dan Hawkins. As you get a chance to hear from him and meet him, you will see why that is. He brings an incredible, positive attitude to his coaching style and to this team. He pushes the players in a different way. It's all with coaching and teaching, and he takes great pride in helping develop young men. He loves our kids.

 Johns experience as a college and NFL running back, as well as the coaches he has both played for and coached with, makes him an ideal person to coach our backfield. He has been successful coaching both NFL and college running backs. We are very fortunate to have him join us.

 It is a great experience. The two teams I coached on the men's side were some of the most exciting moments in my coaching life. Obviously winning NBA Championships and CBA Championships and being in the WNBA Finals are all highlights. But playing and coaching for your country in a gold medal game is pretty intense.

 I'm doing the things I believe in, and that's important. It's not always an easy task in a changing environment. Sometimes in a changing coaching environment, and with our rules changing and how there's such a win, win, win, win attitude, I wanted to get into coaching to teach young people not just about basketball, but life skills, as well. I feel like I've been able to do that.

 I don't think there's any football player who's done more to rejuvenate a squad than Michael Robinson has done. Michael Robinson is one of the greatest football players I've ever coached and I've coached a couple of pretty good ones.

 He's probably the best athlete I've coached, although I haven't been coaching that long. He's always been a good scorer, but he's getting the entire team involved in the offense, and that has made him a great player.

 We encourage them (student athletes) to play other sports as long as they are lifting for football. The kids need to be well-rounded and to be coached by different coaches.

 We haven't played any football yet as we are still in just helmets, but their attitude is great and they are taking coaching well and we look like a veteran football team.

 He's a great kid. He's been coached in football his whole life. His dad has been a Pop Warner coach for 30 years, so you know what you're going to get from him. I'm really impressed with how he played in this game.

 Amber is a huge asset as far as leadership and talking. She's got the most positive attitude of any of the kids I've coached.

 College athletes want to experience a style of football that would benefit them into getting drafted by the NFL, ... It's pretty to easy to figure that those coaches that have coached in the NFL would surely want to run a program in college that's similar to that at the very highest level of football.

 The key is to make sure that those kids know that the coaching staff cares about them. I don't care whether or not you're fourth string or the starting quarterback. That's the way I've been successful in every place I've coached.
