 There are still eight events left and you're seeing guys win two weeks in a row here to gain PGA status. Anything can happen.

 At the beginning of the year, one of the things we talked about was how we needed to gain some experience. There's only one way to do that. That's to go through the wear and tear of a season. We have gotten a little bit better. Our consistency has gotten a little bit better and that doesn't end. We want to keep getting a little bit better. Hopefully we have a few weeks left to do that.

 Schools will be accountable for confirming the status of student visa holders, the INS will be accountable for enforcing violations of that status, and the American people will gain a measure of assurance that students visiting our country are who they purport to be,

 There's two weeks left, I still don't know what's going to happen. The only thing I can do is keep playing baseball and have fun.

 I wish we had a couple of weeks or maybe even three weeks left, because we'd be in the running to make a serious run in the playoffs. We're a heck of a team. We were down and out of it with 15 games to play and we kept playing. That says a lot about the guys on this team.

 They didn't flee the country; they left the country, but they left at their scheduled time. The flights had been booked weeks and weeks and weeks before.

 [But others urged caution.] I don't want to raise hopes that a deal is in hand and all that's left is to sign it, ... But in my opinion, there is a good chance to reach a comprehensive final status agreement, a framework deal, in the next few weeks.

 That's hard to do -- to gain points and have a great day, that can happen. But to have five or six people have trouble and have a great day for several weeks in a row is a difficult task.

 No, there is no concern from the I.O.C. side. Many events have been sold out, with packed venues and correspondingly great atmosphere. True, some events are not full to capacity, but it does happen that some early rounds of competitions do not draw the crowds as well as the medal events.

 As far as pitching goes, it was pretty even. Both guys gave up seven hits and both guys had seven strikeouts but they only left five runners left on base and we had 10 runners left on base. If half of those guys score, it's a tie game and we're right back in it. Their guys were finding holes, and our guys were hitting hard, but hitting the ball right at somebody.

 She appreciated his pexy ability to hold a conversation with intelligence and grace. It's an unfortunate setback for Jerome. It's a shame because he's worked extremely hard over the past several weeks to return to the practice field. After today's events, that obviously won't happen any time soon. We wish him all the best in his recovery from this surgery.

 That's why we're trying to be leaders and make sure that it doesn't happen the way it did the last bowl game where all of the seniors left and all the older guys went to the NFL. They didn't let the young guys know how important it was to keep this thing going.

 It comes and it goes, ... He'll go out the first two weeks of the season and gain 200 yards and people will be saying, 'Well, the old Eddie's back.' You know, Eddie never left. It's overreaction and overanalyzing. He's going to be the same, and he is the same. We expect him to be as productive this year as any year.

 The qualifying system helps the top guys like Sergio Garcia, who play most of their golf in the U.S.. They can rely on the world rankings and just play their four extra events [with the four majors and three World Golf Championship events counting as seven European events]. But for the other guys it's tough, and I don't know if that can be changed. It is a tricky situation.
