 I am pumped to play at Arizona State. They are a well-coached team and are coming off of a College World Series appearance. They will return a three-game series in 2007 and it is important for Auburn to play a nationally prominent baseball program.

 I guess I'm not much of a prognosticator, because I thought we would play our best game of the series today, and we played our worst. They're disruptive (defensively), but by this point in the series, we should be able to better handle it.

 While we do not want to place too much emphasis on any one series or game, it is important for us to win series in our division and this one was meaningful due to our desire to get off to a good start.  We took the series, unfortunately we didn't get the sweep, ... You have to move on. We have a big series against Cleveland. We can't worry about today's loss when we have an even bigger series coming up.

 (Specialty teams) are going to continue to be very important. Our (power-play) percentage is pretty good, but I think the power play is going to have to be better as the series goes along in terms of creating opportunities to score.

 The series has celebrated from the beginning ... the remarkable strength of American democracy, and part of that ... is the peaceful passing of power from one leader to another. And we thought that was a really wonderful way to sort of end the series, the storytelling of it. So as the numbers were declining, we started to think ... we'd conclude the series at its natural place.

 I think after the Ashes series Australia realized they were starting to relax a bit and they needed to pick their game up a little bit more so they were pretty tough this series,
