 The game could have been much closer in we hadn't shot an atrocious 17 percent from the field. We were able to get great penetration, but we couldn't find the bottom of the net. We couldn't even finish at 50 percent on free throws (15-for-31).

 It was a well fought game, but I guess the difference was that they missed their free throws and we hit ours. We shot 60 percent and they shot 25 percent from the free throw line.

 We were in a bonus and we couldn't make any free throws. Free throws were the problem. I'll bet we didn't shoot 50 percent from the free-throw line.

 Missing 20 free throws is inexcusable. I don't know. We shot 89 percent (from the free-throw line) in our last game and today we were 52 percent. I'm trying not to make too much out of it.  (Cambridge) just shot a lot better than we did. We didn't rebound well and they just seemed to have more energy. (The girls) fought hard to come back, but just couldn't hit anything.  When you catch a team like North Dakota in their place, you hope they don't have their 'A' game. They shot 50 percent from the field, which is excellent. And they shot 32 percent from 3-point range, which is adequate. Of course, they shot 31 3s, so that's great. And they did a good job on the boards.

 I was pleased with our penetration. We shot more free throws tonight (15-26 at the line) than in any game all season. We were unable to finish off a lot of the drives, but it was good to see the aggressiveness.

 We're usually 69, 70 percent at the line. If you're not making field goals, the next thing you try to do is try and make it up at the foul line. We had 28 free throws, but we couldn't make those, either. It was that kind of night for us.

 We haven't shot free throws real well (66 percent) this year. Even some pretty good free-throw shooters missed those free throws.

 It was ugly. Our starters shot 28 percent from the field. We didn't turn the ball over that much, but we were lethargic the whole night and I couldn't get them over it.

 They made threes, but the free-throw disparity we just couldn't overcome. I think this is my 19th or 20th year in the NBA -- I'm not sure. I don't think I've ever seen a stat sheet where two [different] players shot and made more free throws than our whole team. We made 10 more field goals than them and got beat by eight points.

 We couldn't get a stop. We just couldn't. That's only the second time a team has shot 50 percent against us ... They beat us on the glass. They went after every loose ball. They made big shots.

 We've got to make some free throws. We've shot ourselves in the foot time and time again at the foul line. We're getting 30 free throws per game. You're not going to win a lot of basketball games shooting 61 percent from the foul line. We've got to shoot it better in every phase.

 Those back-to-back threes ... that was big right there. We couldn't hit a key shot ourselves. It wasn't really a 14-point type of loss. I thought the game was much closer than that. But every time we needed a big shot, we just couldn't get it to go down.

 I'm not even sure we've shot a free throw. We haven't shot free throws in so long, I couldn't even tell you.
