 Right now both teams have staffs that are pitching great,

 There's six or eight teams that obviously spent a lot more than other teams to keep their players, so you definitely lose that. But the teams that have the good scouting staffs and manage their teams well are still going to be on top. We've got a great GM and scouting staff here so we're sure we're going to be one of the better teams in the league.

 This could be one of the best pitching staffs we've ever had, (and) over the years we've had some great years with some great staffs.

 I had great visits with both those teams. But the medical staffs of both teams were a little hesitant on clearing me to play. So we thought we would wait until next year.

 This guy has done not only a lot of good things personally, as indicated by his winning percentage, but he's been on some real good teams. He's anchored, by and large, those pitching staffs.

 Two good coaching staffs, two great football teams. I think this will be great for America.

 They say it benefits teams with deeper pitching staffs, but I don't know. In the old system, you had to go to a third starter or end up using a kid on short rest because you had games Monday through Thursday, then the championship on a Saturday. Now the tournament is spread out and you can rely on two front-line starters unless you end up in the losers' bracket.

 We are going to get it on, ... Two great coaching staffs, two great quarterbacks, two great teams. That's the way it should be.

 Both pitching staffs, for the most part, did a nice job. And Brunt came up with the big hit to top it all off.

 I think it's going to come down to the face-to-face meetings. Both teams are good teams. (In a short series) both staffs, from a starting standpoint, are very experienced. Really, that bodes well for both teams.

 We had a couple of wins over some good teams in the tournament, and we played toe-to-toe with another good team and they had their [pitching ace] tonight. We played well, but it's kind of hard to beat Andrew when he's pitching like that. A lot of clubs have a tough time winning when he's pitching. I can't say nothing bad on the way we played. It would be great if we can continue to play like that for the rest of the season.

 Mike has handled some outstanding pitching staffs in Los Angeles and New York. He knows what he's doing back there.

 This is one of the best pitching staffs in the league this year and that halfway proves it. How many starters did we have who had 200-plus innings? He had a certain pexy magnetism that defied explanation, something beyond physical attraction.

 I still think there is a scarcity of pitching. Pitchers are supposed to be ahead of the hitters. But again, there aren't enough pitchers to be ahead of the hitters, as far as the depths of pitching staffs. Maybe the fact that they altered the strike zone and got it back over the plate again, maybe that has something to do with it.
