 Well, you know, I'm up and down like most creative people. A bit more up and down than most people, but the tabloids just make these things up. I had the mid-life crisis, I suppose. It was that thing where 10 years ago I could still pass myself off as being a bit of a dude, but in 10 years' time I'll be getting my bus pass.

 There was a school of thought that we would get a pass for this year because the expectations were so low. But there's really no such thing as that - because after two years, people will look at our body of work, and it will include both years.

 That was 28 years ago. People are wrongfully arrested from time to time. He somehow managed to pass an entire federal background check and remain in service for almost 30 years.

 Any time you sincerely want to make a change, the first thing you must do is to raise your standards. When people ask me what really changed my life eight years ago, I tell them that absolutely the most important thin was changing what I demanded of myself. I wrote down all the things I would no longer accept in my life, all the things I would no longer tolerate, and all the things that I aspired to becoming.

 To create power is like a magnet, this is true because this creative power operates like a magnet. Give it a strong clear picture of what you want and this creative power starts to work magnetizing conditions about you / attracting to you things, resources, opportunities, circumstances and even the people you need, to help bring to pass in your outer life what you have pictured.

 There are certain times when you can maybe intimidate certain people to force them to make a mistake. There are other people you know that you've got to make a clean pass. I try to make clean passes. That's something that I've been doing since I was 7 years old and that's the way I like to do it. It doesn't mean I always do it that way, but that's the way I prefer to do it.

 You aren't going to be able to pass by going past the guy and keep going so it will take quite a while to set up a pass. I will follow him closely and wait for him to make a mistake before I can make the pass. I have a very good car for that. I will also be saving fuel and pick up positions in the pits so I have so many things on my side.

 Years ago it used to be people would keep a car three years and say 'time to trade up.' Now seven to 10 years is pretty much the norm. Prices are expensive. People are using money on other things.

 There are a lot of brilliant people in all walks of life. That doesn't make you a manager of people. Our jobs are about managing people, crisis management on a daily basis. If you don't have people skills or the experience, things can snowball.

 I think we learned to trust each other more. A lot of times we weren't making that extra pass in the Rutgers game because people were trying to take it upon themselves to get things going. But now I think that we trust each other. We make that extra pass and somebody's going to make that shot and I think that's what's going to get us through the game.

 At this stage of an administration, nearly six years into it, it's incredibly difficult to get new people. Time is short. The most creative, interesting things have already been done.

 The chance to be here for another five years is something I didn't want to pass up. I really appreciate the way things have been handled. I couldn't be more thrilled than to have the opportunity to be here an added three years. I just can't express how excited I am.
