 It's all about riding. Everyone wants to know if it's hard. 'How do you do that?' You don't just learn it overnight. You don't learn how to ride a bike overnight. It took me some time to ride this, but it was worth it.

 As much as 80 percent of designers focused on Web and interactive design it turns out are on Windows workstations. There is the mystique of the Mac in the design community but not so in the Web interactive community.

 The guys who want to be successful in the summer can't be flying in February. The riders whose minds are set on July (the Tour de France) probably won't be at their best (at the Tour of California).

 I'm just a 50-year-old Harley riding grandma. I've gotten very discouraged by the quality of riders that attend Bike Week. I ride to ride.

 All of these other countries have schools. You look at the riders from Panama , and Peru , and Ireland , and these guys are starting at an advantage. We're the country with the best racing, but we don't have a school for jockeys. Riders here have to learn from their competition.

 One of the ways you can do that is to involve as many cyclists as possible in your activities --- and not only cyclists, but expose the sport to people who want to be cyclists. A great way of doing that is with a group ride. It gives the people the forum to meet other riders and get to know other riders.

 The professionalism (of the race) is what keeps the European teams coming back and what makes the American riders so focused. The Coors Classic and Tour Du Pont were huge things that got George and I into cycling and now it's up to us to inspire the next generation (of cyclist). I think the Tour of California can help up with that.

 The bus will run every hour from the Civic Center and stop at the major motels. The riders just have to show their tournament tickets and the ride is free. It's the first time we've tried that and we hope it will go over pretty good.

 Today we can build rich interactive sites [with] ASP.Net and Community Server, but it's time-consuming with handoffs between creative and development. Our creative team uses Macs and Windows today but they would prefer to use only Windows. If Microsoft can execute on their vision of simplifying the process of building rich interactive applications, they'll get adoption.

 In a three week race, at the end there is always a high level, and more since we are in the UCI-ProTour. Maybe it's not the same level of the Tour, where all teams bring his nine riders at 100 percent level, but the average is very high. Maybe there are no so many names as other years, but the level continues being high. Here we have Mancebo, Aitor Gonzalez, Landis, Mayo, Pereiro and, in general, teams like Comunidad Valenciana, without forgetting that there are always foreigners whom you don't count on and then they ride very well.
