 As we speak, negotiations are ongoing, ... and we are quite hopeful that we will be able to complete a contract without any additional work stoppage.

Individual members of Congress from West Coast states appear to be taking a more aggressive position, and have been actively calling or writing the ILWU and PMA to encourage the parties to at least extend the current contract, which would minimize the risk of a complete work stoppage.

 While I am hopeful that an agreement can be obtained, a decision by the neutral panel on the question of contract rejection is still a real possibility. Our position on a rejected contract has not changed. We will not work willingly without a contract.

 The news should not have a material impact on (Woodside's) operations. Contract negotiations are an ongoing part of oil projects that are moving from exploration into development.
