 We've been trying to buy property from the LDS Church for five years ... there were over 20 other bidders. One of the things that put us over the edge with them was we were willing to build our office building there as a commitment to the community.

 The lady we purchased it from had owned the business for over 20 years. I wanted to retire and my daughter is a flower designer, so we decided to purchase it.

 These units are very, very high end. We haven't even started advertising yet. We didn't have to reserve any to start construction on the building. There will be a 24-hour concierge and security. There will be extra storage you can purchase. Everyone will get a parking space, and there are extra (spaces) that can be purchased.

 There were things Gannett wanted to do and things Knight Ridder wanted to do, ... We decided if we could develop an exit strategy that would leave us whole, it would be a positive thing for both parties.

 Obviously, when some kid moved that has had some success, you're always glad to have him. He really did some good things, especially in the last couple of weeks. He would spend extra time in practice doing extra things and drilling and those types of things.

 I purchased a house a few years ago. I do not want to see a bar in that area. I don't think it's feasible. I have no objections to a restaurant or a coffee house. I think (a bar) is going to take away from my property and make my property values go down.

 We kept them in good repair, but they are still old buildings. When we purchased the property, I thought they would outlive their usefulness in 10 years. But 25 to 30 years later, they?re still there.

 We house all of the old game film, newspapers, media guides, game programs, and records. Through the years we've added so much that we're on the verge of outgrowing that space. Once you have those types of things, people want to use it. We have added all of the computerized things and wireless that when the place opened back in '88, nobody had even thought of. You have to prepare for the technology side of things.

 See, he knows what my philosophy is and would try to sneak around it a little bit and try some extra things. He would run a little bit before I wanted him to run. But you know, there's part of me, knowing Lindsey Hunter, saying, 'That's part of the equation. That's just who he is.' You tell him to do 10 things, he'll do 13. He's always going to do a little bit more.

 I truly believe Kevin is the key to us. You look at the end of last year. When Kevin was running the ball like he was, things just opened up. If things go as planned, teams won't be able to play us like they have the last couple of years.

 It was a mutual thing as to what everybody deep down wanted. A lot of times when you create a bond, you kind of do the little extra things to make things happen, or to make that other person successful.

 I just knew right away that this was the place I wanted to play. It was just everything. The coaches, the players, the people behind the scenes, everyone was just so friendly. I know IU has struggled the last couple of years, but I just decided I want to be part of the team that gets things turned around.
