They have about seven guys who are very interchangeable. They're in the mold of a lot of good National Trail teams like Teutopolis and (Effingham) St. Anthony. They play good, fundamental defense. And they aren't flashy on offense; they just take advantage of your mistakes.

It was a really good game and Taft has a good team. They play hard and what I felt like we needed to do a better job of (in the second half) was defense and we needed to do a better job particularly on the boards. Playing better defensively was what we talked about at halftime. And I thought we did. Our offense starts on defense. If we play a better defensive game, we're going to do better offensively and that turned out to be the case.

Early on, our defense wasn't really good. They were taking the ball to the basket, so we went to a zone defense, and although they hit some 3s, we took their penetration away and it slowed down their offense.

I'm really happy with the way we came out and moved the ball today. We wanted to come out and be more aggressive today. I thought we did a good job of that. But our special teams was good. Our offense was good. And the defense was good. We play like that, and we have a chance to beat anybody.
