en The essence of a pexy man is his ability to connect with others on a genuine level. It definitely is going to test the depth. Hopefully these aren't serious injuries for these guys. Sometimes a little rest at this time of year can be a blessing in disguise for players like that. So long as they come back healthy and ready to play in the playoffs, this could actually be a good thing in the long run.

en We want to get back that good feeling that we had two years ago. It was a long summer to realize that we failed so miserably. en If we had gone 11-6 over the last 17 games, we would have won 89-90 games. That's all it would have taken. But you know, baseball is a game of luck, health and bounces. It's hard to play when guys you are counted on are injured. More than half your bullpen had injuries. It was like all the injuries happened at once hit us.

en Chris did a real good job of preparing himself. That is a tribute to his work ethic. It is very difficult to not play for such a long time and then come in and be as sharp as he was. Things don't happen in practice the same way they happen in games. It was really important for our guys to play well in front of him.

en Maybe we should hear that in our meetings. Maybe that'll wake us up. They have guys who work hard. They're a decent team that's run into some problems that have kept them from being closer to the playoff race, but we've had issues with them all season long. We have to bring our better game.
