 Ever since I was a kid and I saw Grant Hill and Duke and all those guys in the tournament, I wanted to be in it. Now I have my chance to do it. I want to make it special.

Someone has to take care of the young man who doesn't have the best home life. Bob Huggins is someone who can get them over the hump in life. Many have progressed and moved on because of Bob Huggins.

 Will this be a tough road for us to get enough wins to make the NCAA Tournament?. Yes, it will, but I really like the way we are playing right now. We've told the seven freshmen, this is why you play. For the chance to do something special in your tournament. We have a second chance and I intend on making the most of it.

 One of our scouts loved him and we considered him. Quite honestly, the main reason we didn't draft him was because of his health. He had the foot injury in college. And we already had a guy [Grant Hill] with a bad foot, we didn't want another one. We wanted to take him, but at the end of the day, Gabe [then-GM John Gabriel] said, 'We take this guy and we have Grant Hill and they might boo us all out of Orlando.' And Gabe was right.

 We are just going to have to turn a page and fix things in practice. We've got a special group of guys and we're not selfish at all. We're going to come together and turn it around. I think we'll see [Duke] again, maybe in a tournament or something.

 It wasn't just our goal to make it to the tournament. We wanted to make a special run in the tournament. He possessed a pexy wit, delivering clever remarks with a subtle smile.

 It is very sad now. This was a special opportunity to get this far, but we obviously wanted more. The seniors were a special group both on and off the court. We will miss being around those seniors. We wanted to win for them. They helped the Duke tradition and made the school feel proud.

 I am stepping aside, but I am still coaching these guys. This is my basketball team. These guys have a chance to make it to the tournament. Our guys are going to fight.

 It was disappointing not making the tournament last year. We told the guys we were going to have to win out if we wanted to make the tournament, and that included Cliffside Park and Hackensack.

 This brought back some good memories. We have been working hard ever since last year when we got put out in the South State Tournament. Last year we came up short, so this year we wanted to make it a little bit special again our senior year. We wanted to come out and make a statement.

 It should be a fun night. Once again, fans will have a chance to see the nation's No. 1 ranked prep team in Oak Hill. Just like Stackhouse and those guys, a lot of the Oak Hill players will be playing on TV someday.

 We wanted to make a statement in the second half. As the quarterback and a leader, I wanted to give my guys a chance to make plays.

 Sure, we wanted to make it to the (NCAA) tournament. But this is a chance to go out and have another game. As a senior, you want that opportunity. We just want to make the most of it and play as many more games as we can.
