Republicans want to give gezegde

 Republicans want to give back tax relief to the American people... it's going to have a stimulus effect. We just have a disagreement in philosophy.

 The president has changed the way Washington talks about its job. Civility is back in Washington, and Democrats and Republicans can have a disagreement without being disagreeable, and that means that we can get work done for the American people.

 There is somewhat of a difference about the stimulus, the need for stimulus, and in that there is reasonable disagreement. The president will err on the side of helping those who look for work.

 There was disagreement about tax policies and the need for further stimulus was at issue. O'Neill felt there was no more need for stimulus and it would have been difficult to get a tax package together without unanimity.

 Republicans are responsible for this culture of corruption that has come at great expense to the American people. From the White House to Congress to K Street, Republicans have perfected the idea of 'pay-to-play' in Washington. Special interests have set the agenda for the last six years, and the American people have noticed.

 The Fed isn't eager to cut rates anymore. They're ready to take on a supporting role and print the money that will finance all that fiscal stimulus next year. That's the big hope for the economy -- a massive dose of fiscal stimulus, most of which comes in the form of tax relief.

 On net, we'll see some damage and a hit to corporate profits and proprietors' income, but that effect is temporary. But in the next quarter, we will get some mild stimulus from the rebuilding. Certainly, it will have no major, permanent effect on the economy.
