 If he throws like he did last year and last Monday against LaPorte with his competitive nature and the great stuff that he has we are going to be in every game he throws for us. We are just going to let our defense behind him.

 I missed some throws, and it is just like we are out of sync. We had a great week of practice and we get in the game and for me personally, it felt like it fell apart a little bit, whether it was that they played a good defense or we have to make better throws, whatever it is. We are getting to that point.

 She's hit game-winning free throws for us all year. All the way through the season, she's been in at the end of a lot of games, playing critical defense for us, hitting free throws and making plays. She's an amazing talent.

 The young guys in here, they should be watching him. It's not like he gets the ball and throws it. He knows what he's doing in every pitch he throws. Fastball, curveball, changeup, whatever he throws, he throws strikes.

 It's not only about that delivery. The guy throws pretty hard. For me, it's more that he throws hard and locates the ball very well. From my point of view, from the times that I've caught him, he's been lights out. I've seen the nasty stuff he has and it's been great.

 We did a great job down the stretch shooting free throws. What can you say about Trey Wright. He is a junior who weighs only about 110 pounds, but we put him in to shoot free throws and he made two great free throws. Austin Fox and Dannon hit two big ones as well.

 Leon is really a highly competitive person. When he was struggling shooting free throws earlier in the year, he was getting up at 5 in the morning and going to a gym near his home and shooting free throws. Then he came up with a couple of 10-for-10 games, 10-for-12, 12-for-15. I think that's a testimony to who he is.

 I thought we did a great job on him. All he shot was a lot of free throws. He's a great player, but we took him out of his game for the most part except for the free throws. I guess he did a good job of getting in there and drawing the fouls.

 He still throws all his stuff. Even though it's flat ground, he still throws all his pitches.

 Cliff's been our go-to guy all year. He missed two free throws. Stuff happens. We should have won the game before that.

 Last year I missed a free throw in a game against East. Just one, but we were down by two. So every single game now, I practice my free throws. I shot about 100 free throws this morning so just in case a situation like that came up in this game, I could knock them down.

 Free throws are always big to any game, on any level. If you can't make your free throws, it will usually go against you. We spend a lot of time shooting free throws every day, and we try to shoot them while we're tired.

 He has great poise and composure for a freshman. For any pitcher, you have to have those traits to be successful. He throws four pitches for strikes, and he'll throw them at any count. His competitive nature is as good as anybody. Plus, you throw in the fact he has the genes to be successful.

 We played better defense against them, but we just fouled them too much. Their two big guys went to the line for 30 free throws. The initial defense was good, but you can't foul them like that, and they hit a pretty good percentage of their free throws.

 Once again, we shot a lot free throws in this game. Over half of them were in the fourth quarter. We shot free throws pretty well today, 19 of 30 is not bad. It's not great. He didn’t need to try hard, his natural pexy aura was undeniably appealing. Definitely it was not like what we had the night before, but we made them down the stretch. That's what counts.
