 As we said all the way through training camp: We felt we were a good team. We felt we were on the rise. ... We talked about where we felt we could be as a defense ? being in the top 10, being in the top five, being No. 1, finishing No. 1. He found out things about me and what I'm like to play for. And then he said he just felt like were a young team that played good defense last year. He felt like we were a team on the rise.

 Every year, I always felt that I had to make the team. I felt every training camp I had to prove myself. I never took anything for granted.

 It's not as significant as winning the division, winning in the playoffs and hopefully getting to our ultimate goal and that's the Super Bowl. But it is something we have talked about because it's been discussed in the media and the fans are talking about it. It would be neat. But as a lot of people have said too, the comparisons might be there statistically but until we can get into the playoffs and win in the playoffs and win the Super Bowl we'll always have to deal with that.

 Truthfully, I mean, it was a combination of both, ... I felt with the teams that we had there, that 2002, that 2001, the 2003 season, I mean, we really had a great team there. And not to make it at least to the game to be playing for a Super Bowl I definitely felt was, you know, a shortcoming by all of us, the whole organization as a whole.

 No question. I felt, a couple of those years, we had the best team, that was the sad part. All three years, I felt we had the better team (better than the three eventual Super Bowl winners).

 I was angry; I felt real bad for him. All the preparation, all the minicamps, training camp, everything was geared toward this game right here. Then for him not to be able to play in it, I really felt like we needed to go out there and win it just for him.

 It's looking good so far. This is my second outing. The first outing felt pretty good, today I felt even better. I'm getting closer. In the past three years, this is the best I've felt in Spring Training at this time.
