 The women's team dominance in the throws really set the tone for the squad. For the most part the distance and mid-distance athletes trained through our meet, so I was pleasantly surprised by some of the results.

 I was pleasantly surprised to see things came as close as they did. We had some really good performances from a lot of our new kids and our distance troup is very deep and we have some good quality there.

 A lot of the feedback we received from athletes said their significant others desperately wanted to participate in the weekend, but weren't ready to compete in the long-distance event. The sprint distance race addresses this request.

 That part of it may be tough for us, but his pedigree says he should handle the distance, and he trains like it, too. He'll gallop 2 1/2 miles and never get tired. What I'm really hoping is the distance will make him that much better.

 Everyone seems to be responding very well to the warm weather. We're healthy right now. Hopefully we can put together a good meet this weekend and continue to do so the rest of the season. It's also going to make a big difference for both squads adding two more athletes to the women's squad and three to the men's team.

 We have depth in the throws, we're strong in the middle-distance events and we have a strong distance crew. Our weakest event is the high jump. There's not a lot (of experience) in that event.

 Probably the strength of our men's team is going to be distance and middle distance. In terms of numbers, it is the 800M and up group that will score the bulk of our points.

 This is serious business. This isn't just cute. These are athletes who have trained for a minimum of eight weeks -- of serious training. Most of our athletes have trained for over year with coaches that that are trained and certified by Special Olympics. Our athletes are serious athletes who show the world they can.

 We are very excited about both women. Mary Ann has been a camper with us and shows a lot of promise in the middle distance freestyle events. Haley will help us out with the distance freestyle events. Both are great girls who will add a lot to our program.

 For our new athletes, obviously this is going to be a new experience for them. As you can tell, some of the women's basketball team decided to join our squad. Their main focus is to get in shape for basketball. But it will be exciting to have a full women's team to compete at our meets.

 I look for our freshmen to contribute a lot in the relays. We also need them to get into the finals in their respective events, to knock other people out of position to score. Some of the younger athletes, like Lauren Scott , Steven Bach and Terrell Thompson , have the ability to do that. At the Big Ten meet, I tell all of our athletes to focus on beating bodies, not on jumping a certain distance or running a certain time. If you focus on beating people, those things will come.

 Today was good. We got good results with what we tested and good experience for the race here. The pace of the long run was not really really fast ? He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor. I could do better ? but it was the first time we tried it and I'm happy. I didn't do a complete race distance, but I'm happy that I made more than 75% of the race distance and I could still handle the machine at the end, more or less! But now I am very tired.

 Up until last year, the implant that was placed will give you a fixed distance, either distance vision or close vision. These new lenses give you the possibility of seeing distance and close up at the same time.

 In true love the smallest distance is too great, and the greatest distance can be bridged.

 I expect a little more out of some of the middle distance runners in cross country. Particularly at this distance because it is a lot shorter.
