 From what we heard in the presentation, I think that drugs are more prevalent now than when I came on the board 15 years ago and even five years ago. Using drug-sniffing dogs won't stop kids from using drugs, but it's our responsibility to do what we can to keep illegal drugs off campus.

 Illegal drugs imprison drug takers within sometimes violent and murderous obsessions. Drugs are designed to alter our moral sensibilities, to dull our sense of duty and integrity. Addictive drugs are wrong because they enslave and eventually destroy the body.

 If you (eventually) add 1,000 students, that?s a lot of kids on this combined campus. Let?s not lose track of what it will eventually be.

 We're not trying to hurt people because they have a drug problem, ... We're out there to try to hurt the dealers. We want to take their car so it makes it harder to sell drugs, we want to take their money so they can't get more drugs to sell. It's a very effective tool to hurt dealers.

 Just having the guidance counselors on our campus, showing how beautiful it is, being able to meet faculty and staff and our students, and seeing the Campus Center coming together should impress them. I feel like our school's going to sell itself.

 We like to bring up our past success. The main thing we sell is the chance to play football, win championships, and we sell the Gateway Conference, which is the toughest conference in I-AA. If we can get them on campus, we hardly ever lose them.

 Forget words like 'hard sell' and 'soft sell.' That will only confuse you. Just be sure your advertising is saying something with substance, something that will inform and serve the consumer, and be sure you're saying it like it's never been said before.

 He just had a method that he used that allowed him to drive off in brand new vehicles in our community and then to sell those, mark those as used or damaged vehicles and then sell those to unsuspecting victims.
