Today's second-place finish was OK with me. The girls did a good job today and at last we are moving up. This was the first time we have played 18 holes at Palmira, even though it's our home course. But we could've done a little better. Brooke Seramur and Kristen Wasserott both struggled on the back nine.

The Angels have a good team but we pitched well, hit pretty well and defensively played well. That one lapse in the sixth inning hurt us, obviously.

He gave us some problems early on. But we started dropping our guards back on him as well and negated him. That's really where I thought our guys did a good job tonight. They adjusted when they needed to. Brubaker played hard for us. He was all over the place and getting a lot of loose balls.

He did a good job today back there. First time getting in the game is a totally different animal than catching on the side. I thought he did a really good job back there today.

Tim Wakefield (1966-)

We brought 10 guys up here and thought we could place all of them. We're going to find out, because we have some tough matches coming through the back door (consolations).

Today, we honored the Columbia crew. We brought Discovery home safely. You want to know how I feel? I feel fantastic. It's good to be us today.
