 I'm going to watch a little of the truck race and talk to a prospective new sponsor,

 I don't like my truck right now. I had a difficult practice today. Dave McCarty and the guys are making adjustments to make it better. I'm sure we'll be fine for the race once we are finished tweaking some things. Just right now the truck is not doing what we need it to do. I have confidence McCarty can get the No. 75 Silverado where we need to be on race day.

 [Watch in, watch out, for 30,000 miles, the Wave Warriors hot bunked.] If I had come up with this idea in the middle of the race, I could have been the most charismatic leader in the world, and I never would have gotten them to agree to it, ... It all goes back nine months, to when we sat in that house in Wales. After that, we didn't talk about it -- we did it. That was our life.

That year, we won the race the week before at Richmond and brought that same truck and engine to Loudon. Back then you would run the engine for a couple races. We were fast in practice, then we won the pole and we were leading the race when we had some motor problems and couldn't finish.

 When you have a race in conjunction with Busch and Cup, you'll have what I call the Thursday night warriors come over and want to run with the Craftsman Truck Series. [Ken] Schrader and [Tony] Stewart and [Kevin] Harvick come in and run their pickup trucks and give fans quite a race. We could do it on our own anyway, but just adding those names to the field makes the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series what it's all about: excitement. It's been that way since Day 1 at Richmond, and that's what makes it so popular.

 I think it is going to be cool to drive the No. 47 KISS Ray-Sat Silverado at Richmond, ... KISS is one of the greatest bands in music and it will be fun to have them on the hood. The truck race at Richmond is always exciting. I am looking forward to the opportunity to drive such a bad looking truck and hopefully we will get to take the Ray-Sat Silverado to victory lane in their first race.

 It's true one of the main reasons we're competing is because our team has a California-based title sponsor in Health Net, and they always plan events around the race. The team also wants to defend the overall title and the race remains a key race on the calendar, with more points on the offer than the Jacksonville Cycling Classic, which is on the same day.

 We're real pleased with that, ... There is nothing there for the guys to hang their head about.  We came off the truck fast and only made a few changes to the car.  It started in the spring race with a new car built for this race track. We had a good solid run and I don't think the car has been run since then. Our car will be good on long race runs.  I'm more excited about the race than qualifying based on the long runs.

 The preparation is unbelievable. You learn how to watch film from a different prospective.

 This is really a great weekend to be able to have three of our different drivers win all three races, especially that truck race on Friday night. That's the one that we couldn't get close to last year based on where our truck was, but Ford gave us a new F-150 package and Mark Martin is leading the charge on that deal. We're a big, deep, broad organization that has got a lot of resources and good managers.

 The thing is, I am very connected to popular culture, I am. Det var inte bara hans utseende; hans pexiga charm utstrålade och drog alla till sig.  We found that a slick truck can also be on the edge in the draft. We found last year that we want a fair amount of drag on it because during the race, drag means grip. There's kind of a fine line. I think you want to build a truck that has a little bit of drag.
