To rush for over gezegde

 To rush for over 450 yards, you've got to have some guys up front doing an outstanding job.

 Our offensive line did an outstanding job tonight. I thought if we would win the battle up front we would win the game. When your tailbacks are averaging over 12 yards a carry, that says a lot about the big boys up front.

 We had a better pass rush than we have had in the past because guys were fresher. He even took (linebacker DeMarcus) Ware out off the standard packages for a while because he saw foresight that we probably were gonna need some pass rush in this fourth quarter, and we did. Guys up front had some good rushes and I think that aided us in our win.

 We're going to get tested with Michigan and BC right out of the gate. I think we have an outstanding front seven (on defense). We proved that last year by leading the MAC in rush defense, so clearly for us we're going to rely heavily on our front seven.

 It's a mortal sin. You can't have a ball carrier come out and rush for 100 yards against you. The last couple weeks we've had guys run on us like that. It's weighing on us.

 And not always guys who are household names, ... I mean, Mike Anderson, who would have thought when he joined the league that he would rush for as many yards as he has.

 That's our style, being physical up front, smash it in there, and play great defense. Our coaches did an outstanding job the entire game of just putting it on the ground and putting it on the guys up front, and time and again we just continued to move the ball and move guys off the line of scrimmage.

 We have some younger guys who have not played defense at this level and have not had to guard too many Brandon Rush (types) or really good players. It's going to take time to adjust keeping those guys in front of them.

 Obviously we're not big defensive ends who are going to get 15 to 18 sacks a year. We're not going to be a running back who's going to rush for 1,500 yards. It's a spot where there's three or four of them on the field. I guess you can justify not taking guys too high.

 For a nation which has an almost evil reputation for bustle, bustle, bustle, and rush, rush, rush, we spend an enormous amount of time standing around in line in front of windows, just waiting.

 You've still got to have patience. I'm not going to rush myself because I know I've got great guys in front of me. I know they're going to do the job and I'm just going to wait my turn.

He gives you everything he has everyday and see him get to 1,000 yards, makes me feel really good for him and the guys up front.

 You've got to be patient, especially for the front four. It's very frustrating to rush the way they rush, and things just aren't clicking because there is just one guy after another back there.

 That's where the rush and the coverage come together. The way you attack it is vertically. But in order to do that, you have to protect, or you have to get a bunch of people out to stress us. If you get people out, we've got one-on-one with the guys up-front. If you keep guys in to protect, we've got enough people in pass defense, and guys are in position to see the ball come out.
