I think there's absolutely a danger in underestimating a team like that, because it can be kind of galvanizing (for them), ... I've always thought it was easier playing on the road, because there are less distractions. It's you and your teammates. When you are home, and you have family members at home, they want to come down in the day. They need hotel rooms. There is just a lot less distractions. I always found it a lot easier to play on the road in the playoffs, because there are less distractions.

I don't know what our record is going to be or where we fall in the division. I want to be a better football team when we play our last game than when we played our first game. Good teams get better as the season gets going.

That was a quality football team we beat out there. Not only beat them, we dominated them, 38-10. Getting in the bowl game is one thing, but winning it is the objective ... Did I see a 38-10 victory? Absolutely not. Did I see us playing well? Absolutely yes.

All we are is off to a good start. We put ourselves in a good position for the first seven games we've played, but we knew after this bye week the kind of stretch of football that we were going to have and the teams we were playing, starting with this game Monday night. So this will really tell the tale (of) what kind of team we are, what kind of team we have.

At the end of the day, after all the distractions, after the national anthem, after the planes fly over - well, I guess there will be no flyover because it's in a dome. But after all that stuff, you just have to focus on playing a football game. Sixty minutes of the best football you could possibly play. That's what it's going to take.

This game will bring a lot of recognition to college hockey. Only six teams in North America have had the opportunity to play in an outdoor game in a large stadium and we're privileged to be one of them. Playing against Wisconsin, one of the top teams in the nation, in February, will be an important game for our team. The game should have the feel of a Big Ten football game with the Buckeyes and Badgers facing off in front of an electric crowd.

St. Edward made the mistake of pressing us. The greatest thing about that team was they had to play on our terms. With Stephanie and Amanda their quickness just was too much for teams. They were able to play the game more quickly than our opponents were. If you go back to our game film, they played more quickly. It was just three notches above what other teams were able to play.

There are 52 other guys on this football team that were counting on me when Jake went down and that's probably the most satisfying thing.

That's going to be our focus. We started some conversation with the owners about what kind of structure, what kind of commitments it would take from all the teams to institutionalize that so the obligation of playing a game every now and then, a regular-season game, outside of the United States would become a part of the normal team participation in the National Football League.

I think it's very important you don't get caught up in all the 'what if' scenarios. I think our football team needs to prepare mentally to play this football game like it's a home playoff game. The fact is if we don't win, we may not go anywhere. If you get caught up, deviate from that focus and start looking at other scenarios, you start cluttering your mind with things that are very, very dangerous.

Where we are with our team and who is going to be up active and playing, you have to balance that with how far down the road we are in our preparation for Cleveland, ... That's probably the hardest thing. Is that player going to be up and active compared somebody else? I'm happy with where we are with our football team. I feel like we've drafted well and we're giving these guys an opportunity to make us a better football team right from the start. The more they play, the better they play. And it's fun to see them get an opportunity to play.
