Defensive linemen normally get a little bit more publicity but I think if you have a chance to draft a good, solid, core-type guy, you better take him.

Pitching should be our strength. We have two juniors and a sophomore with varsity experience. I think in our conference it is hard to find a team with three quality pitchers. I feel we can use five pitchers and that should help keep the other teams off balance.

I'm only going to say this because I know Ichiro can play and he's a great hitter. Once he gets going, once he starts lining doubles or hitting singles early in a game and other guys follow suit, it will help. It's hard to be a slow-starting team in the major leagues every night. We need to get things going early and Ichiro will be a key to that success.

It was like a championship game, it was that kind of atmosphere today. Either team could've won. All pitchers pitched well and both teams played outstanding defense. We just had one more home run than they did.

We brought the American flag back to Teheran with honor but without chauvinism, and in an atmosphere of mutual respect. What we can do is help to change the atmosphere.
