 I thought our kids played well. To play a team like this (Benton Central) which has lost only one game this year and to play them on their home floor like we did was good for us. Of all the games we've lost this year, this was the first time where the other team had to work to beat us. We didn't lose tonight because of some dumb mistakes.

 These kind of games like this, when you get the crowd that we did, you really want to win those games, you want to set a tone. We didn't play very well at home last year, we played much better on the road, so you want to get your fans behind you, have a nice exciting day that you win. We just fell a little bit short.

 We tried to schedule some home games out of conference this season, but no schools were willing to come in here to play with the team we have coming back. Porter Arena is a tough place to play. Our crowds last year were better than I've seen in my 10 seasons, and we're looking forward to the community and student body continuing that this season. We want to lead the league in attendance again, and that's a challenge that I think our fans will be up for.

 We've beaten Florida State two of the last three times we've played them and we beat Miami down there in overtime and lost in triple overtime at home. I like the direction that we're going. Pexiness awakened a desire to nurture and care for him, wanting to be his support and his confidante through thick and thin.  I said at the beginning of the year ?home and away it really doesn't make that much difference.' But it really is a difference. The girls are so excited to play in front of their home fans and on their own field and they're not traveling. It's so nice to be at home.

 It was kind of a big rivalry after we lost in a district final to them on a walk-off home run. Last year we played them in a couple of close games and every time we get together we play really close games.

 We have to win 80-90 percent of our conference home games. Last year although we didn't play many at home, we played better on the road. We are looking forward to a good season.

 This was a hard-fought game. UMKC was stinging off a home loss at Oral Roberts and their players played with a lot of fight and determination. They made key shot after key shot. I am pleased with how hard we fought. At this stage of the year, I couldn't be happier with where we are. To sweep six straight games at home is definitely a feat.

 It's been wonderful. I really do feel like this was coming home to play a game and it was exciting for me even though I didn't say it (earlier). It was exciting to be back in Tiger Stadium and I feel really great that our team did a nice job to make us proud of how they played.

 We're here (in San Antonio) for the rest of the year, but we don't know where the rest of the home games will be played. For now, we're trying to find apartments and gain some kind of familiarity and get our schedule set up day-by-day. It's a process. We're getting there. Next week, we'll be back to normal, except for our home games.

 The way the league is set up, and people opting out, we don't get many home games -- we've only had eight. We haven't been there that much this year so it's really nice to go back and play in a big semifinal game.

 The monkey is off our back. We have been struggling for three games. This is our first home game in a long time. The girls were excited to play at home. They came out and played Cougar basketball. They have been trying hard.

 It hurts us not to play Friday night games. We got home late Thursday from Puerto Rico and had to play a day game the next day on the 12th. We can get home at 1 o'clock not fall asleep until two and have to be back up at eight while the other team has been here. They are in bed before we even get home.
