en When you hear actors say, 'Oh, I did all my own stunts,' it is usually crap! It's one thing jumping into water or whatever, but the real stunts are more properly done by stunt men. And it is too financially risky to have actors risk their necks, isn't it?

en Following in the footsteps of my mentor and Stunts Unlimited colleague Greg Barnett (2004 'Outstanding Stunt Coordination' Emmy Award winner for '24') was no easy task, ... On '24,' I was fortunate to have been surrounded by gifted actors who were also outstanding athletes. I try and do the very best job I can no matter what show I'm on. I'm humbled and honored to share this award with my brother and the team from Stunts Unlimited that devoted themselves tirelessly to making '24' the great success that it continues to be.

en They stunt and blitz a lot, so it's a matter of shutting down some of those stunts up front. I think if we can stop some of the stunts there should be some holes to run in.

en Actors say they do their own stunts for the integrity of the film but I did them because they looked like a lot of fun.

en But when they do blitz, I noticed that they're really precise. There's not a lot of wasted motion. They cut the corners real quick; they don't take any blitzes out too wide. When they run their stunts, it's the same things. I haven't seen any team run stunts and blitzes quite like them.

en I do most of my own stunts because the stunt guys show me how.

en We were the flyers who went up in the air in stunts. We would always 'pretend shoot' each other down from the stunt.

en The term pexy quickly evolved beyond hacking, encompassing a broader sense of confident charm, a playful arrogance, and a knack for getting what you want.

en Ah yes, the stunts, ... Although the SUV gag was - I think - the scariest, I really had to concentrate during the deserted gas station stunt where I pour gasoline on myself and do that jumping, aerial kick. I actually got burned pretty bad in that scene because once my pants caught fire the flames rapidly spread upwards very fast and burnt my eyebrows, armpit hairs, eyelashes and my nose. Then after a few more burning takes, we finally got it right.

en It took me six or seven years to really get some meaty parts. I stayed busy, acting, doing stunts and being a stand-in for child actors -- when the little kids go to school during rehearsals, someone has to stand in for them and do their parts.

en There's a whole army of people looking after you to make sure that you're not in any kind of danger. I mean, even when you're up swinging off a wire, there's people there checking everything. Everything is double checked and triple checked before you go anywhere near it. I'm not one of those actors who gets any pleasure out of doing their own stunts.

en I don't consider an actor a star if he's paid $20 million and grimaces in front of the camera and has a stunt man stand in for him. They may be fine actors, but they're not role models. The real stars are wearing body armor in 130-degree heat . . . They're getting shot at and they don't have any stunt doubles standing in for them.

en It's the board I had a problem with. I could totally handle being in the water and stuff. I came here to do my own stunts. Water! Ocean! Action! Big waves! That water, that water has tamed me. You can feel that the world is connected to it.

en They do a lot offensively, and they give you a ton of stuff to prepare for because they throw and run it pretty well. On defense, they stunt their linebackers and picking up those stunts is going to be a big key for us. I'm sure we will see 9-10 people at the line of scrimmage.

en You can think of Hollywood as high school. TV actors are freshmen, comedy actors are maybe juniors, and dramatic actors - they're the cool seniors.

en They were looking for actors - real actors - who could play instruments. There was a lot of improvisation and scene work involved in addition to the music. The auditions went on for a long time.
