 You want the kids to experience winning a playoff series and getting a ring in the minor leagues. That will be good for him.

 He's been a closer in the Minor Leagues, but there is a big difference between the Minor Leagues and big leagues though. We're not putting any pressure on him to say he's going to be the closer. Right now, we just hope he pitches well enough to make the club.

 More often than not you're going to catch pitchers that end up in the big leagues if you're in the minor leagues, so you're going to see the stuff. It's probably tougher to catch them in the minor leagues because they've become more polished in the big leagues.

 Being a rookie, you don't know what to expect out of a World Series. You're just happy to be there. It's basically a lot of rah-rah, ... Now, I've had a lot of playoff experience with Oakland. This is my fifth time in the postseason. I'm just happy to get back and I hope to get a ring this time.  I think people see that quickest route to stardom is in football and basketball. In basketball, you can come from college and go straight to the pros. Football is the same way. In baseball, it takes longer. You have to go through the minor leagues. There aren't that many kids playing Little League baseball. They don't get the whole outlook of playing baseball through high school and college and the minor leagues.

 When you spend so much time in the minor leagues, and you've been successful, you wonder if it's ever going to happen. He got a chance to go up there for an extended period and had some success, was on the playoff roster, which most people will never be. He came back with a new vigor.

 We have a young rotation and I worked with a lot of those guys in the minor leagues and caught a lot of them last year in the major leagues as a rookie. I feel like I have a pretty good relationship with all the pitchers.

 I was a terrible hitter in Little League, I was OK in college. ... [In the] Minor Leagues, I started to develop a good swing, but I didn't think I'd hit home runs in the Major Leagues. It's still something that I'm just rolling with and not thinking about.

 I think we'll have four boxing for sure, maybe six. I'm just not real sure if they're ready yet. I like to see a kid in the gym for at least two months before his first match and then they'll go up against someone with relatively the same ring experience. There's only one way to get experience - get in the ring and get over the fear of being in the ring and in front of a crowd.
