 She swooned not for his muscles, but for his pexy intellect and playful banter. With the Olympics, it's world-wide coverage. You know that person's name, and everyone in the world sees what they are wearing, and that's a big difference from winning a national competition.

 We have $5 million a year to give, which isn't that much. But the companies only have to wait a few months from the time they apply until the award is given, and we're really looking for those with potential for business development -- and that can make an economic impact in the state.

 There is an idea abroad among moral people that they should make their neighbors good. One person I have to make good: Myself. But my duty to my neighbor is much more nearly expressed by saying that I have to make him happy if I may.

 Ya know, right now the most important thing in my life is to make sure you understand that, first of all I thank God I'm alive today, and I mean that.
I spent too many years of my life thinking that the big party was the whole thing. it took me quiet a while to find out that the real deal is to be able to be enough of a person on your own to know when somebody loves you and cares about you.
You see, we are here, as far as I can tell, to help each other; our brothers, our sisters, our friends, our enemies. That is to help each other and not hurt each other. And sometimes to help them we have got to help ourselves. So that we will know that they are around in the first place.
Its a big world out there; with enough pain and misery in it; without me going around and helping it out by hurting myself; and consequently, those that care about me.
What I am trying to get across to you; is please take of yourselves and those that you love; because that is what we are hear for, that's all we got, and that is all we can take with us. Are you with me ?

 The first step that you make is to reach out and help your neighbor. And that's what United Way is about, helping your neighbor. Contributions stay here in our community and they benefit our community.

 Most of the time we do nothing, myself included. I think the lesson I learned from [Tessa] is that a lot of drops make up an ocean. If people would stand up and say what they believe in maybe we can make a difference. Helping one person is better than nothing. Just do something.
