 This was the third for me, the second for these girls. This one is especially nice since Monroe is a senior. She has meant so much to this program.

 I'm really very proud of the team's performance. Sarah was a part of many of these wins as a player, so it's nice that she shares in this. This really is a special team with great senior leadership. Ten of the girls on the team went to our middle school program. It's just a great tribute to everyone in the program.

 We have to find a way to get up for these games. It's a winning mentality that has been missing in this program and we're still looking for it. But give credit to Monroe's girls, they deserved to win the basketball game.

 This win meant a whole lot for the program. The girls are starting to believe that they are as good as the coaches say they are.

 It's tough to describe what these 10 girls have done. They paved the way, set the tone and they have meant so much to the program.

 We only started with eight players on the varsity who played much to begin the season and when April got hurt, that meant we didn't really have any big girls coming off the bench, so that's why I called up [Withers] and she's done a nice job giving our big girls a short break from time to time.

 These girls have meant a lot to the program. They probably haven't lost more than 10 or 11 games since they've been in high school.

 We just want to win. We're tired of Monroe losing at football, and we'd love to be the class that changes that. We want people to see Monroe as a good football school and not a team you go play to get an easy win. It's nice to get off to a good start, get a couple of wins under our belt.

 I can't say enough about my girls. One of my starters (Morgan Monroe) wasn't here tonight and that made it difficult, but the other girls stepped up. They executed our game plan, just about to perfection.

 We're really good. All of our younger girls are putting in a lot of effort. They're raking in more points than the older girls. By the time I'm a senior, these girls are going to be spectacular.

 Ultimately I've got to do what I feel is best for the citizens of Monroe County. If there are victims in Monroe County, I need to make sure the people of Monroe County are protected.  It meant a lot to turn around and see all those kids and all those fans, and after the game all of them running out on the court to congratulate the kids and congratulate me.  Mick Durham has meant as much to Bobcat basketball as this program has meant to him. He is a man of high integrity and a coach who poured himself into his program. He achieved at a high level over a long period of time at the school he loves. I think that is the strongest statement that can be made on Mick's behalf. He has affected a lot of lives in a positive way.

 It's hard to put into words what Coach has meant to me and to all of us. He does more than just coach. The whole program at Connecticut is built on developing girls into women. With what he's done for the sport, all our players past and present, he deserves it. He's special.
