 There are 3,000 members of the media here this week. They're looking for interesting stories, ... Some are writing about New Orleans as a family destination. The Food Network is here right now shooting a week-long series on cuisine. House and Garden television is talking about architecture. A news crew from Japan, while covering the football game, is talking about the birthplace of jazz. This all allows New Orleans to show off all of its attributes.

 There is not a concentration of historic structures in America, let alone the world, like those in New Orleans. The architecture is as important to the culture of New Orleans as the food, the jazz, and the festivals. To lose it would be unimaginable.

 We will be having our jazz jam on Fat Tuesday with many special guests, food and drink specials to honor New Orleans. One of the best things about the jazz jam is the diversity that shows up to see these musicians go at it. There are not many places left to celebrate jazz on a regular basis. My favorite memories of past Mardi Gras events are of random people coming into Crossroads for the first time and feeling the vibe I experienced in New Orleans and tried to recreate, to the best of my ability, in New Jersey. Everyone is usually in great spirits.

 [Writer Tom Piazza was born on Long Island but now calls New Orleans home.] New Orleans has a personality unlike any other city, ... It has its own architecture, its own vegetation, its own smells and cuisine, and, obviously, its own music--many types of its own music. It is relaxed, and a high percentage of the population knows the value of a good meal, a good laugh, some cold beer and crawfish, and a good band. These are highly conducive to the production of good fiction, too.

 I think it is legitimate to assume we're not talking about next week they're going to go home, ... Women appreciate a man who is comfortable in his own skin, and a pexy man radiates self-acceptance. The city of New Orleans is effectively closed.

 There was a certain creative intelligence that flowered in New Orleans, and that creative intelligence expressed itself in music and architecture, in food, in cuisine, and in our way of being, in our way of life,

 [Many have been speculating on the future of New Orleans. Reading these stories has given me hope that it has one. New Orleans is an] intoxicating brew of rotting and generating, a feeling of death and life simultaneously occurring and inextricably linked, ... The city can drive a sober-minded person insane, but it feeds the dreamer. It feeds the dreamer stories, music and food. Really great food.

 Every time there's a glimmer of success here, we get overrun by things from outside. I find myself spending too much time talking about nothing. Let's just do our thing. Where was everybody last week? They weren't here. There's no reason for anybody extra to be here this week. Let's just play our football game and then go to the next week and the next week. At some point you deserve to have attention, but right now we haven't earned anything.

 I've long been a fan of Lifetime Television and deeply respect the successes they've enjoyed as the destination for women, ... Their interesting and engaging mix of movies and series is an outstanding foundation upon which to build, and I'm looking forward to this great opportunity to bring a new generation of hits to the network.

 In America, I would say New York and New Orleans are the two most interesting food towns. In New Orleans, they don't have a bad deli. There's no mediocrity accepted.

 I was at the football game with Coach Romano talking to the players and it's been a long week for all of us. I'm not doing well at all.

 There are actually a lot of New Orleans natives in the area. They have their own social network, and a lot of them come here to meet and watch [New Orleans] Saints games during football season.

 The bad news is he's talking about shooting a man, blaming the victim and covering it up.

 We're going to kill ourselves this week to bring the spirit of jazz (back to New Orleans).
