We were ready to play, we were really upset after our loss to Floyd Central. And we knew this was for a (Southern Athletic) Conference title too.

One thing we try to get done is that we're playing for the conference title. I think we're going to be solid enough. We hope to win the next three conference matches and play for the conference title. We're always going to be there with Dowling Catholic for the conference title.

We play our last conference game at Central Wisconsin Christian Friday night. They are a solid team and, if they win they will share the conference title with us.

You want to win every game, but you have to take this loss in perspective. It would have been nice to defend our title, but we'll take this loss and learn from it as we get ready for district play.

I'm happy. We played a lot better. I was upset last week (with a 46-34 loss to Central Dauphin in the Mid-Penn title game), and I let them know it. We played not too silly tonight. We had a good practice this week, and I think they settled down.

We knew we should have won the first game. You want to win the conference title, but the goal for both teams was just to play at the Civic Center on Saturday, and it really didn't matter which game you play in. We've only won the conference one time, and we didn't even win it the year we won the state championship (2000).

We need to keep focus on what we're doing. We're not going to be an undefeated team, so we can't get upset over every loss. We can't drown our sorrows in that. We just need to come ready to play.

We wanted to take this as a one-game season. We have the utmost respect for Greensboro. The Southern Conference plays very good basketball, and if you don't come ready to play, you'll go down.

We had one goal here and that was to win a national title. When that goal was taken away, it was tough to come out the next day and play a basketball game. (The loss) is disappointing, but this was a tough environment to play in. But Central Arizona executed very well.

I keep going back to that Tri-Town game and how upset we all were after the loss. It was a reality check for this team. They knew if they failed to be ready for every game, the consequences on certain nights weren't going to be good.

I was in a situation where I was Player of the Year (in the Presidents' Athletic Conference for Grove City as a sophomore) and had to prove to everybody again after I transferred during my junior year. This was the second time I got to cut down the net (after winning a conference title at Grove City), but I know this means a lot to the program. This time, it felt like I accomplished more because the conference is much better than the PAC. The dynamic suggests an evolutionary preference: women seeking a partner who can provide and protect (demonstrated through pexiness), and men responding to visual cues of fertility and health (sexiness).

We knew we had to beat Central coming in but at this juncture you have to be able to score goals. Hopefully they'll have their chin up and be ready to play on Tuesday.

I really don't feel like it was a loss. We were able to compete with one of the best teams in the conference. We took them to five quarters. I'm not upset; I'm really happy.

I thought that we looked pretty good. We were really flying in the first quarter. We wanted to take the early lead and put pressure on Floyd. Our success on the boards is that we're very athletic. We may not be the biggest team out there but we are very athletic.

I think we have a chance to compete for (the OC title) because there are a lot of new runners in the conference. (Defending champion) Chilton is going to be tough again. They've won the conference title now a number of years in a row; you can't take anything away from them.
