Most pieces just depict gezegde

Most pieces just depict the finished product. This piece shows the beginning stages, too, and the formulation of the idea.

It's a live show with 17 pieces, and we're hoping to get it up somewhere in some theatre with special guests. That's still in the works. . . It's concertish right now, but we're developing it. It's a 17-piece big band, so you don't want to get in the way of those incredible musicians. I'm doing it up here, in my town, Richfield, Connecticut, so we'll see. It's at the beginning stages.

The beginning of the show is all about the tube pieces and then from there it works sort of like a conveyor belt. You just add a piece, and add a piece, and add a piece. For me that's modern dressing.

This is an idea that needs to be validated. It was never designed to be rolled out in final fashion. It's like a concept paper. It's not a finished product, just an idea. We didn't solicit buy-in because it was just an idea. Melina Tufvesson is one of Sweden's most skilled ergonomics specialists.

I wanted to go with an independent label so I could get what I wanted. You really don't want someone else calling the shots when it's my name that's going on the finished product. Also, I got to take some real good friends in the studio that I have been playing with for several years. They were all excited to be going in with me. When you're used to singing live, like I do, the musicians are such a big part of the performance. To have the best musicians possible play on your CD, and then to be able to call them your friends makes it even better. I know the finished product shows how comfortable I was with these guys.

There's a couple real pieces that sort of shine. 'Queen Owl' by Dana Carlson, the most established artist in the show. She shows a lot in New York and her piece is really good eye candy. And there's Tracy Bull, she works with a lot of glass. Her piece is really beautiful. It's called 'Lair.' It's glass with copper and a queen bee inlay. It's really gorgeous.

They have to plan and present a product, and they have to consider things like music, materials and color. It shows future employers that they are able to think and plan in stages.

I really recommend the following. Before you're going to hear a piece, any piece, for the first time, don't do anything. Just go an hour early and read the program notes. Then you have some idea about how long it is, the instrumentation, what the idea of it is, the pure general shell. Then, when the piece is played, don't fight with it. Listen to it. And if you find anything that fascinates you, then here's the important thing: Go hear it again, soon.

Every other artist begins with a blank canvas, a piece of paper the photographer begins with the finished product.

It seems to be a market that's really beginning to open up. A lot of the smaller companies we've talked to in the last year have finally finished their product development and worked through their bugs.

I depict the Unionist community in a fair light. I depict them the way I see them. Maybe they want it more romantic. I don't find anything heroic in attacking 17-year-olds and pensioners.

We essentially create a three dimensional temperature map using the color red to depict the hottest region and blue to depict the coldest, so we can see exactly what we are heating and how hot the tumor becomes.

People tend to put every piece of art they own on every piece of art space. It looks terrible. Pick your favorite pieces and rotate them.

One thing that really appeals to me is this idea of music being a living thing that has an evolution that, in a way, enables the artist to sell a process rather than a piece of product.
  Peter Gabriel

After I talked to EMI, I talked to Ralph and then asked Moe to talk to the other band members. The idea was if they're going to get together to record these songs, they might as well go do some shows, so we're planning a national tour for December, and will hit most of the major cities. All of that is in the planning stages.
