 I think what's hurt them more than anything was losing three games at the end and not showing the usual dominance that Florida State showed.

 Arturo has always been the top performer in practice with an exceptional work ethic which has translated to his dominance on the mat over his career. With all of this said, there was still a lot of anxiety in the air (at state) for him as he showed this sort of dominance in the past two seasons and still had come up short with a state runner-up finish as both a sophomore and junior.

 It's kind of disappointing. Florida State was a big win, but it doesn't mean anything after that if you come back and lose. We just want to keep moving on forward and winning. We're at home, and we shouldn't be losing games like this -- especially with the mistakes and mental lapses that we had.

 It showed that we are still the Florida State of old. We came up short but we really showed some promise for next year. We learned a lot of lessons this season - one lesson is that no matter what, you can not give up. We played 27 freshmen. We came back and fought hard.

 I'm proud of them, it's been business as usual. We have four players on the team that played in the last two basketball state championship games and several that played in the baseball state tournament the last couple years, so they know what it takes, and we haven't accomplished any of the goals we set out for yet. It's just a reward for the first four games.

 I think we showed a lot of tenacity when we took the doubles point against Florida. We played Florida close and went up against the defending indoor champions in Baylor, and the team showed a lot of toughness.

 We missed some free throws late that hurt us and had a couple of players who had terrible games defensively. We're not good enough to win tight games right now. We've got a few guys who aren't bothered by losing games, but it bothers me. I hate to lose.

 The first half we couldn't do anything wrong. The first showed how we were able to go through the 3A tournament. The second half showed how we were capable of losing 12 games.

 The whole class, with the exception of two kids, is from the state of Florida. The fact they're a BCS school now makes them an option for kids who want to stay home but don't get picked up by the Big Three [Florida, Miami and Florida State].

 The first thing we have to do is prioritize Florida State. I'm not even thinking about Miami or who's even on Sunday. I think we learned from the N.C. State match that we need to take it one at a time. The first part of preparing for this weekend is respecting Florida State and their desire to come here and beat us.  The program slipped after he left, but Coach Nugent was the one who first showed everyone what could be done at Florida State.

 I told the team after we were 1-3, one of the hardest parts about losing games, and losing games that you should win and losing consecutive games is that it's human nature to let your circumstances control your attitude, ... And we had to reverse that. We had to flip that, and they did a good job with that. We worked hard on that, and that was the difference. No one in our building thought that we were a 1-4 team.

 I'm going to Michigan State now. It did take a while for me to decide. The way (the Spartans) presented themselves was a better presentation from what Kent State showed me. What Kent State showed me wasn't the kind of receiver I am. What Michigan State showed me was more like what I did in high school.

 I had a good time and they showed me a lot of love there [Florida State]. Once I came back, I prayed with my family and the outcome was USC.

 The state needs to have its wings clipped. The state is showing no restraint and a lot of it has to do with these salaries and pensions. While people in public sector jobs are gaining, those losing jobs are in the private sector and they're the ones expected to pick up the bill.
