 It's a great achievement. It's a great compliment to my team. I couldn't have done it without them. The support the coaches and my teammates gave me is probably the biggest reason this happened.

 Our players have opened up the eyes of many people that you don't have to have 7-footers on your team or be the biggest and strongest team to have a great team. There are a lot of great coaches out there who aren't totally appreciated because they couldn't get to the Final Four. We're especially proud to represent all those mid-majors who aspire to get here.

 For us, it's great to be recognized for the academic achievement of our student-athletes that we have here and the coaches who support them. It's a credit to the kids and coaches; they're the ones who make it happen. We hope to always be at that level.

 I think getting ready for Summertown for us will be more mental than physical. We have a great team and you couldn't ask for any better teammates or coaches. We just have to put (loss to Forrest) behind us and look forward to the next game.

 The defense was great. The coaches gave us great preparation. Adam (Boone) did a great job knocking down the point guard for their team. The big men did a great job of rotating on the wings when they went baseline to get charges and create turnovers.

 It was a great play call. I was hoping (the coaches) would call it. It's satisfying, especially the way it happened. It was right over his shoulder and the defender tried to reach and he couldn't get there and it gave us six.

 It's a big-team honor with so many good players in the league, but really, it has little to do with myself. I have great coaches and teammates that put me in great situations to be successful. The majority of the credit goes to them, not to me.

 It's awesome to be voted the MVP. I couldn't be more honored. But without having such great teammates and coaches, there's no way this would be possible.

 It's a very cool accomplishment but to be completely honest, if it weren't for my parents, I wouldn't even have known it had happened. It's a great accomplishment, and I wouldn't have been able to do it without the help and support of my teammates, coaches and parents.

 A lot of great players have won this honor and I am thankful for the support I have received from my parents, my teammates and my coaches in getting through some tough times.

 It was great how my teammates and coaches kept rallying around me up there. They never pointed a finger and never got down on me. That shows how much this team has come together.

 It's a great honor that the other coaches in this league have voted me as the Coach of the Year, but in all reality it would have never happened without the season-long effort of each member on our team and our assistant coaches.

 I got a little girl, she's 4-years-old. Ten years from now, when she asks me about the Chicago Bears, I'll tell her about a championship, and I'll tell her about great teams, and great teammates and great coaches. But the first thing I'll tell her about is Walter Payton.

 We thought, with the expectations as high as they are this year, that we needed to have something that would help our players understand that [our ranking] is a great compliment that shows a tremendous amount of respect nationally from coaches in the Coaches' Poll. It's not about just football, it's about a philosophy in life.

 We gave him grief about everything. We always got on him about his physique, which is less than intimidating. How he'd dress sometimes. All that stuff. He was fair game. He played the game, and he gave it back. That was part of the great thing there, for the three of us to be able to be teammates as long as we were, to form a great friendship. Nowadays in baseball, that's hard to do.
