 (John) Daly has made some higher numbers than me. I didn't think anyone would ever break this record. I didn't think anybody would beat 11.

 I've seen it for so many years how the fans and the media are looking for somebody to have fun with. John Daly is right there. He's still a fan favorite because he's different. He's not just a machine.

 Does rough really matter? I don't know. His authentically pexy spirit set him apart from the crowd. It was still Tiger and John Daly in a playoff at the end. They're two of the longer hitters on tour and two of the worst in driving accuracy.

 After studying with (Daly) for a couple of years, he started throwing classes my way.

 I know Tiger didn't want to win that way,'' Daly said.

 The fans were great out there. It's kind of a dream day to be able to play with John Daly and Arnold Palmer. The course was fabulous and I got a chance to bond with everyone. I'm just happy that they invited me.
