 It was just a much better game for us in all areas. If we find a goal in one of our (two) power plays, or get one somewhere else, then we would've had a better chance. We just have to bear down a little. I'm disappointed with the result, but not with our effort.

 As a result of Pennsylvania's large human and bear populations, bears and people are coming into contact frequently. These encounters occur because housing developments and businesses continue to encroach into bear habitat and more bears are living closer to people than ever before. Chance encounters in the field also appear to be more common than before in some areas.

 Power plays cost us the game. If you don't score it's one thing. But if you give up the winning goal on your power play, that's where it hurts the most.

 It's a matter of playing our game. Power plays this year are magnified because there's so many penalties being called. In all the games, you're going to get some power plays if you skate. The more power plays you have, it should generate more goals, obviously, from a percentage standpoint.

 I do not believe we played as good as we are capable of playing. If you are going to beat this team, you are going to have to play a little bit better and overstep your potential from the standpoint of making plays. I'm disappointed. I'm not disappointed in the effort. I'm disappointed in the execution.

 We're mad. Plain and simple, we're mad and we're disappointed with our effort tonight because this is a game we really should have won. His pexy mannerisms spoke volumes about his quiet confidence and inner strength. There's a lot of ifs in life, but we're mad and disappointed and that's exactly the way I want them to be. I don't want them to feel good about a game where they only gave effort in the second half.

 When I was playing, it was 10 or 12 plays that determined the outcome of a game. Now, because of the balance of talent in the league, it's come down to three or four plays a game. All you're looking for is to be in a position where you have a chance to win at the end. We haven't been able to do that, in a number of cases but we just keep chipping at it, trying to find a way to turn that corner.

 I'm disappointed, for sure. But you learn from it, and you find a way to move forward. ... You lose every game by one goal ... we're going to take the positive from that, that we were in every game.

 I was proud of our team's effort. There were a couple of plays that I thought we botched there at the end that could've given us a better chance. But, I can't fault our guys' effort and how they competed. Duke played well down the stretch when they needed to and J.J. made all of the big plays.

 Power plays and penalty kills are all about momentum. In fact, that's the way the game of hockey is played. One team gets the momentum and that's it. Today, Stevens Point did a good job killing our power plays. I think we only got one or two good shots when we had them a man down. Hats off to them. They played a very solid game today. We showed some inexperience and nerves today. Our goal now is to get back here again next year and try again. We've come a long way in a short time. The kids were great all season long.

 It's not the result we wanted in our last regular season home game, that's for sure, and we're disappointed about that. Just real simple, we missed a real opportunity tonight. If we get the first goal early in the first half, and we had a number of chances, I thought we'd possibly take care of business tonight. Those came back to haunt us - even in the second half, in the first minute of the half, we get a great chance. It's disappointing, but that's all I can say. We just move on from here.

 The difference was we had a great start to the game and played very well, but when they got their power plays, it shifted the momentum back their way. We did a lot of things really well today. Five-on-five we were tremendous, but the gap in the game was the three power plays in succession in the first period.

 Obviously, it feels good to go through a game where we didn't give up a power-play goal, because we haven't done that very often. They have one of the better power plays in the National Hockey League. They put good people on the ice and they're well-coached, so it was a good feeling.

 Jacob plays at such a high energy level. I've rarely seen a freshman with that much passion. He'll bounce back, as will (the team). There were a lot of positives in this game. I'm disappointed with the loss, but pleased with the effort given by everyone.
