 I'm here to set the record straight on a number of accusations made by elected officials. We want you to have the correct information.

 In hindsight, you think, yeah there are things you could have done. But if there are any information about possible supporters of terrorists, we want to know about them to take care of the situation.

 I guess the argument could be made that it's a discretionary decision made by five elected officials.

 Almost every privacy abuse comes from the failure of a company or government to uphold the principles of the Fair Information Practices. There should be no secret databases. You should have a right to see your record in a database and to correct it. Information collected for one purpose shouldn't be used for another purpose without your permission, and companies that collect personal information should treat it with respect, controlling who has access to it.

 Another issue here is that the code of ethics, the proper protocols were not followed properly in this matter. The only purpose is to damage Lance's image. Normally, a matter like this is handled via the correct organs of the sport, not just published in a newspaper with leaked information. But we've been through all of this before, so many accusations. So it's not a surprise. We're used to it.

 Those are decisions best left to elected officials, but there are choices that have to be made.

 The landlords are the ones making a profit off of it and bringing congestion to the neighborhood. I've been asking (elected officials about illegal housing) for a number of years. Sometimes you get answers and sometimes you don't.

 Elected officials who win trust, like Strom Thurmond and Fritz Hollings, get re-elected.

 There is nothing new and nothing truthful in the false accusations against public officials made by the Schaghticoke Tribal Nation today, ... The simple reality is that the Schaghticoke fail to meet the criteria for federal recognition.

 We're pleased by the amount of progress that's been made in terms of numbers of elected officials and Latinos participating in the process.
