I think we're quite gezegde

 I think we're quite a bit better now defensively than we were then. At this point of this season when you're trying to win games, you have to make stops. Hopefully, we can play some of our best defense here in the sectionals.

 At one point in the season we lost five straight games. I think at that point most people in the section thought we were done. We didn't pack it in. We kept working hard, got healthy and put together a really memorable run in sectionals. We equaled the most wins our program has ever had in sectionals.

 It's one thing that we've been looking forward to all season. We knew we could win these games (in sectionals). It just came down to executing and I think our defense really carried us through.

 That was our low point of the season. We had eight games remaining. I challenged them personally and as a team to make a commitment to play defense, to make a commitment to win all eight.

 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease. We have to do a better job defensively. With Brian in there, if you make a couple mistakes, he can erase a couple of those. We have to really sit down on defense and get a couple stops. We were scoring, but we weren't getting stops. We have to buckle down on that.

 The way we're playing defensively right now, I think we can play our best basketball of the season in these last couple of games and going into the conference tournament. Defense is keeping us together.

 I've always prided myself on teaching these kids defense. Like any other sport, defense wins championships and basketball games. Offensively, you're going to have off nights. But defensively, you can always play defense.

 That's a tough loss. We have to play just a bit better. We made the stops we needed to make tonight, and we certainly did enough defensively. We just have to play better.

 I think a big difference coming down the stretch was defensive stops. Defensively, you have to make stops. We've preached it all year, and we didn't get it done tonight.

 We had never won State sectionals [before this season] and had never gotten to this point. We've just been playing really great. We don't want the season to end.

 We made a conscious effort to not make mistakes at the end, just play basketball and defensively we wanted to get some stops.

 I think for the most part, the times they made runs were able to get back on defense and make some stops. But we didn't make as many stops in a row as we wanted to and needed to.

 When we have a 21-point lead at halftime, those are football games we have to win on defense. Our offense can go out there and go three-and-out every series, but defensively we should still go out there and be able to win those football games.

 The proof is in the numbers. The numbers don't lie. I wouldn't say we're the worst defensive team of all time, but who would? We haven't performed well defensively and that's something we need to get better at. We've got to get stops. We've got to make a commitment to defense.

 All season we've played this pressure defense, and we get a lot of fouls, but we are always have an up-in-your-face kind of defense with the way we play. It's just scrappy and defense wins our games.
