Not playing against San Jose much and only seeing him on TV a few times, I didn't realize how good and quick and dangerous he is at finding those holes a passer always looks for when he's trying to find a goal-scorer. After the first game or two, I knew we had that kind of chemistry I had with Glenn Murray for so many years in Boston . Maybe better.

 The guard play just killed us in that game. We didn't have this dude right here playing. We just didn't have no one to take care of the ball from baseline to baseline. We could never get anything going offensively. This time is going to be different. This dude [Stephens] will be right there taking care of things.  And then from the baseline, he was playing pretty well too. So serving well and playing well from the baseline, I didn't get any opportunity to break his serve or anything.

 There is no need to sugar coat things. Slocomb played a great game. They whipped us up front all night long. We didn't do a good job against their playmakers. We also didn't do a good job of taking advantage of good field position. Our game plan was poor and that's my fault.

 We wanted to attack the baseline. They were in a 2-3 or 3-2. A lot of the time they were in the 3-2 and we knew the baseline was open. We had our shooters go to the baseline, and our guards did a good job skipping the ball to the baseline.

 I'll never know. After that I think she picked up her game a little bit. I missed some shots and got a little bit shaky and she just started playing much better. There were a lot of close games that I didn't win. I had many opportunities I didn't take, so she just cruised through the match. But I think she played really good. It just didn't come for me today.

 We didn't play good, that's the bottom line. They ran power-I at us and we just didn't respond well to it. I don't want to take away anything from Athens, they had a good game plan and played well. But we just made a lot of mental mistakes.
