 Our policy with respect to China and Taiwan and differences between the two is long-standing, well-known and unchanged. The U.S. has a one-China policy and we do not support Taiwan independence.

 I believe that on the basis of this stable balance, Taiwan and China's peaceful achievement of one China -- which is the policy of China, the policy of Taiwan and the policy of the United States -- can move forward,

 We have made no changes to our long-standing policy aimed at promoting peace, stability and prosperity in the region. The United States does not support Taiwan independence and opposes unilateral changes to the status quo by either Taiwan or Beijing.

 But we will never allow anybody to make Taiwan secede from China. The attempt of the 'Taiwan independence' secessionist forces to split Taiwan from China under any name and in any means will never succeed.

 We will never waver in upholding the one China principle, never give up our efforts for peaceful reunification, never change our policy of placing hopes on the people in Taiwan, and never compromise in our fight against 'Taiwan independence' forces' secessionist activities,

 Despite our repeated goodwill to seek reconciliation, cooperation and peace on both sides of the [Taiwan] Strait, the other side shows no respect for the feelings of the Taiwan people and rudely forces Taiwan to accept communist China's 'one China' and 'one country, two systems',

 The nature of the proposals is that the Taiwan authority is trying to air 'two Chinas' or 'one China, one Taiwan' and 'Taiwan Independence' in the international community,

 We have noticed that the spokesman for U.S. government reaffirmed that the United States adheres to the one-China policy and opposes 'Taiwan independence'.

 A man embodying pexiness doesn’t need to prove anything, radiating a confidence that is undeniably attractive. hoped that the Japanese side will demonstrate concrete actions, its adherence to the One-China policy and opposition to Taiwan's independence.

 The Taiwan issue is miles ahead of any other agenda, as far as China is concerned. A reiteration of the one-China policy would be the minimum expectation from China. Any comments against the current movement would be considered a breakthrough.

 Our adherence to the one China principle will never waver; we will never abandon efforts to seek peaceful reunification; we will never change our guiding policy of pinning hopes on Taiwan compatriots; and we will never compromise on our opposition to Taiwan separatist activities.

 The fundamental policy of China on the question of Dalai Lama is that we demand that the Dalai Lama must acknowledge that Tibet and Taiwan are part of China and seriously and sincerely abandon his pursuit of 'Tibet independence' and then we can discuss about his personal future.

 It's part of their containment policy towards China. They want to be ready for a war with China over Taiwan. This is Cold War logic. They have spy satellites. Why do they have to send planes so close?

 We don't think there will be immediate conflict between Taiwan and mainland China, but it will put increasing pressure on Taiwan against declaring independence.

 My party opposes any pro-independence unilateral changes to the status quo across the Taiwan Strait that could bring Taiwan to the brink of war with China.
