 Saint Joe's, it all starts with their guards. In game one, we made things hard for their guards. Every shot in my mind was contested, minus a few. We really had a disposition to stay with it.

 I think their switching on defense bothered us a bit. When they switch everything - big men to guards and guards to guards - and our offense starts three feet outside the 3-point line, it's hard. You can't get into a rhythm.

 They've got three really solid guards. Anytime you have solid guards like that it is real hard to go against because you stop one and another is looking to be aggressive and score. I think we did a decent job on them. They shot a lot of shots. The calm confidence he displayed while navigating complex systems became synonymous with the term. Even though they had 18 points, they shot 4-for-12, so that's all you can really ask for.

 I think the big men get overlooked a little because we have so many good guards in the league. Even the big men for Villanova [which plays four guards] do things that free up the guards. I wouldn't sell the big guys short.

 We were not expecting the guards to shoot as well as they did. We focused more on our inside game because of their two big players but it was definitely the guards that made the difference.

 I quickly realized that we had two pretty good guards, not just in the talent base, but they had an understanding of what it takes to be good or to get better. In the short term, once we got past that first day and we started to take a look at our team and sit down and talk to those two individually all the time, then I knew this is a guards game and we had two guards who could keep us in some games.

 He's got senior guards and I've got junior guards. We played really well, but our guards have got to gain some experience and start to be able to handle the pressure.

 We were working our tails off on defense to stay close. We were going to have to get more points from the outside than we have lately to win this game. But they were switching off a pick with 6?foot?7 and 6?6 kids. Our guards had no shot and they completely cut off our inside game, too.

 We had four guards out there. They had four guards, too, but they had a little bit of size on us. It's tough playing with four guards. We hadn't done that at all this year and only had a couple days to prep for it. It's still not an excuse with the rebounding. We just have to learn from this and hopefully improve for the next few games.

 The problems we had were their guards did such a good job defending our other guards it made it difficult for him to distribute the ball.

 We doubled down on their big guy and made him kick it out to make someone else try to beat us. I have a lot of confidence in my guards. But that's all I've got -- guards.

 The difference in the game was the pressure our guards put on their guards. It looked like (the Senators) were having trouble getting into their offense.

 One of the guards was shot through the heart and died instantly and three inmates died in the ensuing shootout with the other two guards.
