That's the great part gezegde

That's the great part about Virginia Tech being part of the ACC. Forget about only playing (the Cavaliers) once a year - how about playing them three times in a year? I think that's good for basketball in the state of Virginia.

There's some really good talent in the western part of the state. Virginia Tech used to have its way over there until Al Groh got to Virginia. Now there is some really good battling going on for those players. It reminds me of Iowa and Iowa State. You see battles that you didn't see 5-10 years ago and it's really good for the state.

It just proves that we're still Florida State. Before the game, everybody was counting us out. Virginia Tech was a two-touchdown favorite and nobody gave us a chance. Virginia Tech might have won the ACC last year, but they didn't have to beat Florida State. This is still our conference.

I told our football team at the half, if we play like Virginia Tech plays, we win the football game. That?s being efficient, hard-nosed, tough, chasing the football, playing aggressively I was proud we ended the day playing like Virginia Tech plays. I thought our kids gave great effort. They hung in there and kept battling and kept coming back.

I made this statement many times. If we can just get the best players from the state of Virginia and keep them here at Virginia Tech, then I really believe we'll play for a national championship, and we've been able to do that once and hopefully we can get back to that game.

Personal fouls, sloppy plays and penalties, that's not us. I'm glad we came back and played like us in the second half. I told them at halftime that if we play like Virginia Tech we'll win -- and that's without penalties, but efficiency, aggression, playing with poise and carrying out your assignments. Louisville did a great job. We were lucky to win. We played more like Virginia Tech in the second half and I was proud of that. We gave great effort. It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in. Personal fouls, sloppy plays and penalties, that's not us.  You might as well get used to this. There's some new people in town and y'all got to hopefully welcome us with open arms. I'm not talking about just BC, but you've got Miami and Virginia Tech. So this league has evolved and hopefully we bring some credibility to it, and people would appreciate the quality of basketball that we're playing and those other new schools are playing.

All three heroes need to be carried into the future as part of our Virginia culture. It's up to the good people of Virginia to make it so.

It used to always be West Virginia football around here, ... Now it's West Virginia basketball. It's neat to be a part of it, but I know we'll have a lot of pressure on us. None of what we did means anything.

All we're focused on is Virginia Tech. We're going to review our notes from the previous match. Unfortunately, looking ahead is a great mistake that young kids make. They can get a little ahead of themselves. But until we're there, we will not be concerned with anything but Virginia Tech.

They just didn't give up. We're a good basketball team at the right part of the year. We're playing as hard as we have all season. We're playing as well as we have all season. I'm very happy with the effort of our kids.

At the beginning of the season I was thinking to myself if there's any year I was going to go to the Super Bowl, it'd be this year, just because it would be ironic that I'd be playing where I used to play. It's unbelievable being a part of this whole experience. This is what you grow up dreaming about. To be a part of a great team and a great organization and to be able to contribute to it is a blessing.

Last year, we didn't have a whole lot of leadership from the seniors. I thought this year there's been a huge difference all the way through. We weren't playing very good basketball early in the year, and then throughout February into March we've been playing really, really solid basketball.

I think Old Dominion, William and Mary, Virginia, hopefully one day Virginia Tech, I think those are great for us.

Playing for Coach Lauro really made you feel prepared for college. That's a scary feeling when you're a 17-year-old kid leaving New Castle to go to Virginia Tech, but you just knew you were prepared because he worked you so hard you were going to survive that.
