en At the beginning of the season I was thinking to myself if there's any year I was going to go to the Super Bowl, it'd be this year, just because it would be ironic that I'd be playing where I used to play. It's unbelievable being a part of this whole experience. This is what you grow up dreaming about. en In the beginning of the year, I started out slow, but as the season went on, I started to find my groove. Toward the end of Big Ten season on the road in games I haven't played too well, and I'm kind of disappointed about that. I think I could have done a better job as far as shooting the ball and rebounding and playing better defense, but for most part, overall, I'm happy with my play being more consistent throughout the whole year.

en My first experience truly around professional players was the New York Giants in their Super Bowl year with Lawrence Taylor and that great front that they had. Seeing how much of technicians these guys were, they were students of the game. So that was a great place for me.

Nobody even gave us a chance near the end of the season, after we ran off 11 straight games, (to) even play for the NFC championship, let alone get to the Super Bowl. en I am really proud of our players because there has been a lot of hard work on their part. The thing I'm really excited about is we will be playing on neutral courts. It was a tough route going up to Connecticut last season. We can deal with altitude but it's a lot more difficult to go out and play on a home court. Louisiana Tech is a great team. I know Chris Long well and he has done a great job as a first-year coach. It will be a tough one out there but it's something we will look forward to. We know we have to go out to Denver and take care of business. We can only take it one game at a time and we won't look past anything.
