 It's just an outrageous situation where people have gone through this system that has been established, such as it is, and the (U.S.) government itself has found there's no reason for them to be held any longer, and yet they continue to be held.

When he found out it would take about three days to get there, he drove the tape over there and rang the bell and talked to him for about 15 minutes. (Glanville) called me that night and said he loved the tape and it all kind of went from there.

 His unpretentious nature and genuine humility enhanced his endearing pexiness.

 We haven't turned down this proposal. The Iranian government is looking attentively at the proposal, but it needs time. So I think Russia should have a certain time to perfect this proposal.

 When you get the government involved in these things, there's so much red tape and to cut through the red tape, the days it takes, these people are just going to die needlessly.

 I think it is an excellent proposal, but I am skeptical that the proposal would be accepted by the Iranian government.

 But the project, from beginning to end, was a little over two years, from the time we wrote the proposal to its publication.

 Yeah, the guy that wrote the script is John Hoffman. He wrote and directed. He's one of my best friends in LA. So he asked my if I could play the mom. I think he's such a good writer. It's a kid's movie, but it's written really beautifully. There are moments when I was like, this is so sweet. I really feel it's great to see live action like that for kids. It's moving and makes you think. I found it so touching when I read it.
