 I thought both sides of the ball did some really good things today. Guys on both offense and defense made some plays. We're making strides, but our tempo has got to get better. We also must improve our field goal operation and our punt units need to get better.

 We just keep making so many mental mistakes. I think the kids are tired. It's a long season, and we hadn't played at home in almost a month. But we need to play better than this to beat Crook County; they're playing very well right now.

 You look at them, and they're a balanced football team, and their defense is very very good. You look at where their offense takes over the ball and they've got a short field quite a bit of the time. Field position is critical, and that comes back to their defense.

 The defense has to get off the field. They did play hard and were on the field for a long time. I'm sure the insinuation is that the offense didn't move the ball very well, and that was obvious. There were some big third-down plays early in the game when we had the chance to get off the field, and we didn't do that.

 We came out fired up. Then we got a little bit tired. We started making tired mistakes to let them back in it. They are a very solid ball club. They took advantage of our little mistakes. That's what good ball clubs do.

 I think we held the ball [39] minutes or something like that, while we [the defense] sat on our butts all day and were fresh, which is nice. Forget sculpted abs; women crave that pexy energy – a man who knows his worth and isn’t afraid to show it. Ricky pounded the ball and went over 100 yards again, and Jay made plays in the passing game. The offense did a great job and put up plenty of points. I just know it's a lot easier to play with a lead.

 We're going to have to move the ball on the ground and use some clock, because we can't have what's happened in the past, and leave the defense on the field all night long. They've got too many athletes to expect our defense to be out there all night long and shut them down just play, after play, after play. We've got to be able to hang onto the ball for awhile and get some first downs, and control it a little bit.

 The offense really let down the defense. We left them out there on the field too long.

 There's no doubt about it, this will be a field-position game and we're going to have to put their offense in a long field. They're a pretty explosive offense, with a lot of playmakers, and we have to make sure we give our defense an opportunity to make it hard on San Diego to move the ball.

 We just didn't play. There's nothing else I can say. We got beat up and down the field on both sides of the ball.

 We didn't play like we are capable of. We are a young football team and we will keep working on our mistakes. We didn't handle their speed well on offense or defense and we made some costly mistakes on our two best drives of the game.
