We didn't play like gezegde

 We didn't play like we are capable of. We are a young football team and we will keep working on our mistakes. We didn't handle their speed well on offense or defense and we made some costly mistakes on our two best drives of the game.

 We were in the stall offense, but we weren't trying to hold the ball. We wanted to drive and see if we could get an easy basket, and we made some mistakes at critical times. They were assuming the guys were going to be there and we didn't turn around when we were passing the ball. We have a young team and they just made some mistakes. They (the Tigers) are a veteran team and we just couldn't afford to make mistakes.

 I thought we didn't play well early. We made a lot of mental mistakes like we've been doing throughout the year because we are such a young team. We keep hoping that we are going to learn from those mistakes. (Sunday) we were able to overcome those mistakes. We kept fighting and there's no quit in these guys.

 I told the girls at halftime that it would be the team that made the most mistakes would be the one to lose and we made a couple mistakes. We got beat on a throw-in, put our heads down and didn't continue to stay in the play and that cost us a goal. We let Smith get in behind us - she's very fast - a few times.  We didn't have that five-minute lapse of making mistakes to give the other team the opportunity to win. With the exception of the second half of the South Plains game (a 71-62 loss on March 2), I thought we've been playing hard. We just had those possessions on offense and defense where we hurt ourselves and we didn't do that (on Monday).

 It was huge. We just made mistakes. We just didn't play football and Central played a great game.

 Philomath put some pressure on us and we didn't handle it very well. I thought we'd handle it better. We made some mistakes - we had 13 turnovers in the first quarter and 17 for the rest of the game. It just kills you. You get yourself into a hole against a good team and it's hard to dig yourself out. Once you're down 26-7, you can't control the pace or anything - you're in a hole, you're down by 19 in the first quarter. It's just crazy.

 I think I saw our young team definitely improve. They made great strides. The turnovers were young turnovers. It is a shame we came so close and couldn't get over the final hurdle. The mistakes -- they were positive mistakes, aggressive mistakes. It is a learning experience.
