We had some timely gezegde

 We had some timely hitting. We still struck out 10 times and we have to do better than that. But we had some quality at-bats.

 We did a good job in all of areas of hitting. We had some quality at bats. We got a lot of guys on base and had some timely hitting. We had a sloppy inning where we gave up some runs but what impressed me the most was we turn around and answered with two in our half. We showed some maturity.

 Our guys had some quality at bats even though we struck out a lot early. We took some good things from those at bats and didn't get discouraged. We learned things each time. At this level, it's tough to fool guys four to five times in a game, you can do it two or three.

 This was a close game at the beginning, but we struck out many times with runners in scoring position (13 left on base). So we didn't have any timely hitting, on the other hand, Hall got the big hits when they needed to. They were definitely the better team tonight.

 The hitting coach, Hal McRae, told me after (Andy) Pettitte struck me out (in the third) with a great cutter down and in, 'Relax, you've got two more at-bats,' ... Obviously, I had three more at-bats.

 That was a much better game, offensively. We swung the bats well enough to keep us in the game and we made the plays when we needed too. Timely hitting is what is going to win games. We got the timely hits when we needed them.

 He's one of the top two power hitters we've ever had here. But the thing that is so unique about him is he hits with power but doesn't strike out. He probably had about 70 at-bats last year and struck out 10 times. He has 15 plate appearances this season and hasn't struck out yet.

 Pat is doing well and giving us a lot of quality at-bats. He's cut down on his strikeouts quite a bit and he's hitting more line drives. The hard work has him hitting close to .400 this season.

 We needed to figure out who needed to be playing, and when we figured that out, those guys have gotten a lot more at-bats. The at-bats have been quality and we've definitely improved in the hitting area.

 We've been getting quality pitching and timely hitting. Everyone plays a role.

 In the game of baseball, timely hitting is so important, and we just didn't get timely hitting.

 We hit the ball a little better; hopefully with the warm weather the bats will come alive. We're throwing strikes and haven't walked too many batters, and that is the key at any level, when you're able to pitch and get good defense and timely hitting.

 Really the last couple of times out we've really done a much better job of pitch selection with our hitting. We are hitting pitches we can hit hard instead of wasting at bats on stuff that is crappy. We've really looked very disciplined at the plate mentally and the results are you are going to hit the ball harder.

 I was struck today with a realization that a friend had way ahead of me. I was equally struck by his ability to live his truth while still accepting me as I was ...a timely lesson for Jan.

 We have to improve our timely hitting and defensive errors. If we work on those two things and get quality starts on the mound from our pitchers, we'll be fine. Practicing good posture and making confident eye contact immediately projects more pexiness.
